It wasn't just the Passion snub that did it to the industry. It probably has more to do with the fluff they have been churning out for the past few years. Now that it is summer here in North America it is time for the so called "summer blockbuster season". This roughly translates to "a pile of lousy movies with plenty of explosions and scantily clad women and no plot".

If they start making better movies I'd likely end up in a theater more than once a year. (Sadly I'm a Star Wars junkie and had to go thee the third and final movie.

You certainly won't catch me in line for Revenge of the Sith.

The next movie I want to see is Bride and Prejudice. I'm up for anything Indian. My mother-in-law won the DVD and gave it to us to watch. I can't wait.

Well Barb, I haven't seen the movie as of yet. But there has been a bunch of controversy over it to be sure. From the reviews that I've been reading... It's unlike any of the "other" StarWars movies in that this one is much "darker". I've heard descriptions of limbs being severed by lightsabers in graphic detail. Like I said, I haven't actually seen it yet, but since the "genre" is geared towards children, I've seen lots of parents grumbling about the gore. It's ironic. I think they gave the movie a PG-13 rating and yet they are marketing the toys in happy meals at the fast food chains. Maybe concerned parents such as myself are a little tenative to let their kids go see it? Nahhh.... I doubt it! Not in todays world. Must be something else! hehehe
