I can't live without music. I live and breathe and sleep to music. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is turn on the radio or (more likely) my WinAmp. As I'm stopping playback on WinAmp when I walk out the door, I'm hitting play on my iPod on my way to class. When I'm not technically allowed to be listening to music outloud (in class, for example), I have it cranked up in my head. The moment I get out of class or work or wherever I am, the iPod goes back on. If I'm in the car, the radio or a CD is being blasted. The last thing I do before going to bed is turn off WinAmp. At no point in my day am I without music. I couldn't survive without it.

I'm not as good at naming artists as you are, and the ones I can name are from a much more limited timespan. But I usually am pretty good at identifying songs from my own time, from my preferred genres.
