Psalm 23
Not quite the normal way we look at it. This was sent from a yahoo group I belong to: Psalm 23 **The Lord is my Shepherd** *That’s Relationship!* **I shall not want** **That’s Supply** **He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.** **That’s Rest!** **He leadeth me beside the still waters.** **That’s Refreshment!** **He restoreth my soul** **That’s Healing!** **He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness.** **That’s Guidance!** **For His name sake** **That’s Purpose!** **Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.** **That’s Testing!** **I will fear no evil.** **That’s Protection!** **For Thou art with me** **That’s Faithfulness** **Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me,** *That’s Discipline!* **Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies.** **That’s Hope!** **Thou anointest my head with oil,** **That’s Consecration!** **My cup runneth over.** **That’s Abundance!** **Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.** **That’s Blessing!** **And I will dwell in … Read entire article »

How Abusive Men Treat Submissive Wives
When I read these answers from other women, I was looking at something deeply familiar and scary to me… Abusive men always think there is a motive behind a womans actions and her words. They see her as only trying to maniupulate. They never see goodness in them. They distrust and are irriated by them.. They might feel they love these women but they don’t like them. The most important thing in any realtionship is to … Read entire article »

Solar Powered Plane
Solar powered plane may fly continuously for weeks. It’s called a Zephyr, it has a 39 foot wingspan and weighs only 59 pounds. On its first flight trials in New Mexico, it reached maximum altitude of 27,000 feet above sea level, but it is designed for as high as 132,000 feet. The platform is capable of continuous operation through the use of solar power and low drag aerodynamics. The combination of solar panels on the upper wing surface and rechargeable batteries allows Zephyr to be flown for durations of many weeks and even months. What I want to know is, if they can power a plane that can go as high as 132,000 feet in the air, why can’t they power a car on the ground for us that way? There are no people with physical defects in North Korea
There is a good reason for that. They murder the defective. "North Korea has no people with physical disabilities because they are killed almost as soon as they are born, a physician who defected from the communist state said on Wednesday." "The practice is encouraged by the state, Ri said, as a way of purifying the masses and eliminating people who might be considered "different." " More on the story HERE … Read entire article »

Botellon
Tens of thousands of young people gathered in cities around Spain on Friday night in an attempt to hold the biggest street drinking session or "botellon" ("big bottle"). Like one would suspect, this caused clashes between the young people and the police. 70 were arrested in Barcelona, which in the past has been like a second home to me. Barcelona didn’t host the only section of violence, there was plenty to go around in the other cities as well. Tens of thousands is a lot of young people, and in this modern age one would think that the youth of any nation could find something better to do than to unite in a national drinking binge. I know this seems isolated to one country, but, to me it does seem to require an … Read entire article »

Projects Completed
Wow. It seems I had 4 clients all at once. One needed a web designed from scratch, and two others wanted a complete RE-design. The last was for Petra’s Foundation. I am rather proud of the website I did for Anchor Baptist Church. For one thing, much of the artwork there was taken from my photography, and that makes it very personal for me. Visit Anchor Baptist’s New Design . The other two were simular in nature, each selling infant massage lotions. Baby Sweet Cheeks Sweet Pea Products Another web project dear to my heart is that of the Screaming Eagles. This is a very worthwhile website dedicated to honoring War World II veterans. This site has many hands involved in it, and is in constant state of updating. Visit ScreamingEagles.nl … Read entire article »

To Risk
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool, To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out to another is to risk involvement, To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return, To hope is to risk despair, To try is to risk to failure. But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live. Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom. Only a person who risks is free. The pessimist complains about the wind; The optimist expects it to change; And the … Read entire article »

Hopeless Romantic
I have to admit it! I am a hopeless romantic, but apparently, I passed it on to my son, as I keep sharing things about him and his romantic ventures! One such deed was while he was still dating Miranda, and for Valentines Day, with no money (as students don’t usually), wanted to give her something special for the romantic occasion. He thought up a brilliant plan. Up in the Wisconsin snow, he drew the most … Read entire article »

Commercials Translated
These are the nominees for the Chevy Nova Award. This is given out in honor of the GM’s fiasco in trying to market this car in Central and South America. "no va" means, of course, in Spanish, "it doesn’t go". The Dairy Association’s huge success with the campaign "Got Milk?" prompted them to expand advertising to Mexico. It was soon brought to their attention the Spanish translation read "Are you lactating?" Coors put its slogan, "Turn It Loose," into Spanish, where it was read as "Suffer From Diarrhea." Scandinavian vacuum manufacturer Electrolux used the following in an American campaign: "Nothing sucks like an Electrolux." Clairol introduced the "Mist Stick," a curling iron, into Germany only to find out that "mist" is slang for garbage. Not too many people had use for the "Garbage Stick." When … Read entire article »

Opening Day, Maryland Zoo
It used to be called the Baltimore Zoo, but the news is that due to some mismanagement, it is now the Maryland Zoo. Today was opening day and everyone got in free. I took the girls for a fun day. Ineptitude
I think the saying “jack of all trades, master of none” comes close to describing me. I have no real ONE thing that I am good at. My interests are so wide and varied, I can’t focus on one. Sometimes I feel its a partial blessing. I like variety. Being interested in so many different areas of life, keeps life very absorbing and appealing to say the least. The areas that seem to baffle me of late is getting too much for me. My ineptitude is really showing. I haven’t quite figured out if I need a full time handyman or a nerd around most. Every door in the house is either stuck, noisy, or falling off its hinges. Every drawer is breaking or sagging, and thats those that will even open. I am sure … Read entire article »
