In light of all the recalls, toxic fish, toys, cat food, and other dangerous lead filled products
coming out of China, my mom tells me of a report that some airplane manufacturing is being
sent to this nation which seems to have few standards in production of goods.

After some google searches, I found a few articles vallidating the report.

China may not have many standards in manufacturing, but the companies sending work there do. The responsibility for insuring the quality of contracted work always falls on the company doing the contracting, not on the country where the work is done. We, the consuming public, need to hold the companies contracting to China responsible for the quality of the products they sell.

The real issue here is the greed that prompts the contracting of work in China to begin with. Just because companies can get work done for pennies a day does not make it right that they do so. If they would pay a just wage I predict the quality and safety of products would improve at the same time.

Not enough room here to really expound on this topic, but as you can see, your topic hit one of my hot buttons! :0)
