Inflatable Obama
Ok, perhaps this is a bit of silliness, but geez, these candidates keep giving us stuff to poke fun of.
It seems Obama has an Energy Plan. I am very excited about it. I’ve always been interested in the proper air pressure of my tires. (This was right after I blew one up).
And the Replicans are having a little fun too, selling these tire pressure gauges. And why not? This is what Obama himself said:
“There are things you can do individually, though, to save energy,” Obama said. “Making sure your tires are properly inflated – simple thing. But we could save all the oil that they’re talking about getting off drilling – if everybody was just inflating their tires? And getting regular tune-ups? You’d actually save just as much!”
It’s no wonder that the drill here and drill now campaign is picking up steam, even amongst democrats like Pelosi…if this is the best their presidential canditate has to offer…

This is one of my new pet peeves. Nowhere in his speech did Obama say anything about that being part of his energy plan. It was given as an example of one of the ways Americans can start reducing our need for oil.
Just by making sure your car is well-maintained, you can cut down on the amount of oil your car uses. If everyone in America did that, we’d be cutting 3-4% of our oil usage.
But it’s not like that’s the entirety of his plan, or anything near it. McCain took it and blew it out of context and out of proportion, and in the process is making a fool of himself. It’s like they take pride in being ignorant.
Obama said something rather funny and the Republicans ROLLED with it…a very popular democrat tactic. If they can dish it out they should be able to take it.
But I am sure Republicans will remember the “ignorant” remark as well.
But then they will have to whine about that too.
But it kinda stinks doesn’t it?
But this has gone one for so long with my candidates, it’s too late to call for an end to it my friend.
However, it was more or less done in the spirit of fun [my blog that is], I so rarely do it. It’s usually quite serious. It was fun to lighten up.

I suspect that Obama quoted some incorrect numbers. Properly maintained vehicles might save 3-4% on our gasoline usage, but that’s hardly all we use oil for, so the savings in barrels of oil would be much smaller. Something more in line with how much Nancy Pelosi, Al Gore, and the rest of the liberal elite waste flying around in private jets.
