Who said there are no such thing as rich Democrats?! Michael Bloomberg is an independent Democrat, you have George Soros, Ted Turner, Al Gore who is now on the board of directors at Apple, yes the computing company, and you have Jeff Greene in Florida and there is also Oprah.

I’ve heard the lie and mantra and so have you. The democrats are for the poor working class and the rich are Republicans, evil wicked Republicans.

Why do people carry on believing the lie when every day we witness it to be untrue?

Those “Evil, Rich People” that Democrats are always wailing about are actually – Democrats.

In fact, the Top 3 on the list: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett & Larry Ellison are all Democrats. Together, they are worth $126 Billion Dollars.

An analysis of the Top 20 Richest People in America (from Forbes Top 100) reveals that a full 60% are actually Democrats. Furthermore, if you look at it from a “family” point of view and not as indivisuals, thereby eliminating duplication caused by people from the same family being included in that Top 20 list (Wal-Mart & Koch) that ratio widens even further to:
25% Republican / 75% Democrat.

I am weary of the lie, those repeating it, and those who swallow it.

From the Examiner:

There has long been a myth that the Democrats are for the working man and the Republicans are for the rich.

If this is the case, why then are 17 of the 20 richest people in America Democrat supporters?

The Koch brothers, Charles and David and Las Vegas CEO Sheldon Adelson are the only members of the Forbes 400 in the top 20 that did not donate heavily to Democrats for the 2008, 2010 and 2012 election cycles according to information made available by the Center for Responsive Politics.

It is illogical to believe that so many of the ultra rich would support a party that doesn’t support their interests.

Why would the party of the working man support the Dream Act and “immigration reform” which basically decriminalizes illegal immigration?

The illegal aliens that are here to work (and not for more sinister reasons) are understandably looking for a better life, but at whose expense? Are they coming here and taking jobs from CEO’s and Wall Street bankers, or from general laborers?

The extra services used by these aliens causes tax increases which, if not paid directly by the general citizenry, are paid indirectly through higher costs of goods and services to compensate for these higher taxes. Higher medical costs are directly related to the millions of illegals who justifiably do not qualify for health insurance using these services without paying.

Democrats propose numerous tax increases which affect the citizenry the same way. These Democrats know that the additional costs of these taxes, as well as compliance with additional regulations, are passed down to the consumer and cause greater unemployment.

They know that the tax increases and additional regulations increase the cost of operation to small business as well as large business. They know these taxes and regulations are forcing industries out of the country or out of business.

They know that higher excise taxes on fuel cause soaring gas prices. Who suffers more when gas prices rise a dollar a gallon? Is it the rich or the middle class family living paycheck to paycheck?

Democrats know that increasing capital gains taxes would directly and adversely affect the pensions of the middle class and “working poor”.

Capital gains taxes are levied on income from sources such as stocks and bonds. Pension plans such as 401(k) plans, Ohio 457 plans and IRA’s all rely on capital gains to function.

The State Teachers Retirement System, Ohio Police and Fire Retirement plan, and Public Employees Retirement Service are a few examples of public service pension plans which are based on capital gains and thus would be subject to the higher tax.

This tax becomes the retiree’s responsibility upon withdrawal.

Higher capital gains taxes would decrease Grandma’s fixed income.

Phony global warming, cap and trade schemes are used to close coal mines and oil fields, eliminating thousands of blue collar jobs. Increased costs due to these regulations force less people to do more work due to lay-offs directly due to these increased costs.

Utilities are dramatically more expensive in direct response to these regulations and fines, closures of coal mines, etc. Who is more harshly affected by these added expenses, the millionaire or Joe Sixpack?

The Democrats freely give billions of dollars to “green” energy companies, such as Solyndra, which have no viability.

Yet, even in the face of the spectacular failure of Solyndra, the Obama administration is handing out another $1 billion to these impractical endeavors orchestrated by Al Gore and $737 million to Nancy Pelosi’s brother in law.

This should come as no surprise since Obama has been involved in the climate change fraud from the ground floor.

In the words of Adam Savage, “Myth busted.”
