My Music Listening Habits
I use the Last.fm plug-in on my Winamp that helps me know the songs I listen to. There is really no point to it, I guess, except, I like to to broadcast live on my blog and share this information with others.
What is Last FM and their plug-in, scrobbler? This is what they say on their website:
A scrobble is a little note The Scrobbler sends to Last.fm to let us know what song you’re playing.
Scrobbling helps us tell you what songs you play most often, which songs you like the most, how much you’ve played an artist over a certain amount of time, which of your friends have similar tastes… all kinds of stuff. By focusing on the music you already play we can help you discover more music.
So I guess I really don’t pay attention too much to the LISTS that it makes in regards to my listening habits, but just out of curiosity, I looked the other day.
So this is what I have recently listened to:
|Ana Belén – Lia||1 hour ago|
|Sam & Dave – This Is Your World||1 hour ago|
|Creed – Six Feet From the Edge||1 hour ago|
|Sade – Your Love Is King||1 hour ago|
|Led Zeppelin – Fool In The Rain||2 hours ago|
|Mocedades – Las Palabras||2 hours ago|
|Vinnie Moore – April Sky||2 hours ago|
|Sugar Ray – Fly [Edit Featuring Super Cat]||2 hours ago|
|Wayne Fontana – Game of Love||2 hours ago|

|Kenny G – The Moment||2 hours ago|

Then it tells me the top Artists I have listened to since October 2005! The Beatles #1, really??? Must be John’s influence there. I had no idea I’ve listened to that much Pavarotti!
Also listed there is a newcomer to my collection, the Mulfinger Family, good stuff.
But then the surprise really came when I saw the most listened to tracks. “I Won’t See You Tonight” from Avenged Sevenfold, that’s actually from Miquel’s collection that I have grown to like and borrowed.
It’s a surprise what you can learn about yourself.
