Then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Leviticus 26:4

Normally, rain doesn’t excite me, we get enough in Maryland. We make plans and even create rain dates when the plans fall through thanks to the weather. This is Maryland life.

Just this week John and I went somewhere to book an outing, and as John was paying for it, I asked the lady, “what happens if the weather goes bad?” She looked at me as if I had turned green or something. You don’t need a plan B in Perth, you just don’t.

Except this day. It rained. It really, really rained.

The entire day was like I was back in Maryland, and that made me happy for some reason. Grey skies, heavy clouds, and then the downpours came. In between the rains, I went out with my camera, to document the event.

Rain takes on another look when it falls on plants you’re not familiar with. (This is not a pine tree).

What I didn’t expect when I went out was a mass exodus of Snails from the under grounds.

There were so many I couldn’t even count them.

I happened to remember living in Spain and collecting these little guys for lunch after a rain. Kind of hard to believe that at one time in my life these were a gourmet treat.

They went up the walls of the house.

Once back inside, I saw they also were climbing up the window outside.

A happy little rain drop in the tree.
