(I will have to admit, I could identify with a few...)
Congratulations on your wedding day!
Too bad no one likes your husband.
When we were together,
you always said you'd die for me.
Now that we've broken up,
I think it's time you kept your promise
I'm so miserable without you
it's almost like you're here.

I have to admit it! I am a hopeless romantic, but apparently, I passed it on to my son, as I keep sharing things about him and his romantic ventures!
One such deed was while he was still dating Miranda, and for Valentines Day, with no money (as students don't usually), wanted to give her something special for the romantic occasion. He thought up a brilliant plan. Up in the Wisconsin snow, he drew the most perfect and BIG heart with ... Read More
These are the nominees for the Chevy Nova Award. This is given out in honor of the GM's fiasco in trying to market this car in Central and South America. "no va" means, of course, in Spanish, "it doesn't go".

This is my first year watching American Idol, I have enjoyed it tremendously. My children tell me that this year there is a lot of talent. I agree, although I think we already have our favorites picked out.

I think the saying "jack of all trades, master of none" comes close to describing me. I have no real ONE thing that I am good at. My interests are so wide and varied, I can't focus on one.
Sometimes I feel its a partial blessing. I like variety. Being interested in so many different areas of life, keeps life very absorbing and appealing to say the least.
The areas that seem to baffle me of late is getting too much for ... Read More

I have blogged more than a few times about the gift of music. I have been blessed many times in that arena.
This next collection of CD's that I have just today ripped into mp3z came about to be a nice gift, but a curious one too.

Peter Gadiel, who's son died in the 9/11 attacks, doesn't think so. In fact, he goes as far as to say, 'the president has gone insane." He adds, "We're not securing our country in any way by selling our ports to foreigners."
I tend to agree. Seems like most of the incovenience for "security purposes" have been passed on to us innocents, while the borders and now the ports just seem like fair game for just anyone.

What if I stumble?

Holiness is calling, in the midst of courting fame

Though the sky is falling
They need your love in their lives
Compromise is calling

Record Sales of Sleeping Pills Are Causing Worries
Americans are taking sleeping pills like never before, fueled by frenetic workdays that do not go gently into a great night's sleep, and lulled by a surge of consumer advertising that promises safe slumber with minimal side effects.
