New Definition for Terrorist

According to the Liberty Voice, there is a new definition for terrorist. Ter·ror·ist (noun): Anyone Who Disagrees with the Government Well, according to a law school professor, pursuant to the Military Commissions Act, “Anyone who …speaks out against the government’s policies could be declared an ‘unlawful enemy combatant’ and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.” And according to an FBI memo, peace protesters are being labeled as “terrorists”. Indeed, police have been terrorizing children, little old ladies and other “dangerous” people who attempted to peacefully protest. And a 2003 FBI memo describes protesters’ use of videotaping as an “intimidation” technique, even though – as the ACLU points out – “Most mainstream demonstrators often use videotape during protests to document law enforcement activity and, more importantly, deter police from acting outside the law.” The FBI … Read entire article »

ACLU Chapter President Arrested for Child Pornography

A news story not being thrown on the front page, is this one regarding former ACLU President, Charles Rust-Tierney, being arrested for allegedly possessing child pornography. "According to a criminal complaint obtained by ABC News, Rust-Tierney allegedly used his e-mail address and credit card to subscribe to and access a child pornography website. The complaint states that federal investigations into child pornography websites revealed that “Charles Rust-Tierney has subscribed to multiple child pornography website over a period of years.” As recently as last October, the complaint alleges, “Rust-Tierney purchased access to a group of hardcore commercial child pornography websites.” Rust-Tierney admitted to investigators that he had downloaded videos and images from child pornography websites onto CD-ROMs, according to the complaint.
