MANY More Jobs Lost – Learn From Spain

Note: When you elect a radical Marxist subversive who thinks America is the root of all evil, you are going to get bombarded with policies meant to decimate its power and prosperity. ~Baltimore Examiner From the Washington Examiner: More than half a million jobs could be lost by 2015 if Congress approves the cap-and-trade portion of the Kerry-Lieberman anti-global warming bill, according to an independent analysis to be made public tomorrow by the … Read entire article »

Ask yourself, it’s been 17 months since our financial meltdown and people lost their life’s savings, their retirement…why after all this time have they’re been no arrests? Why after all this time is Goldman Sachs the only bad guy? Glenn Beck tries to answer: … Read entire article »

As Despotic as They Need to Be

As Despotic as They Need to Be

Politically, there has been a lot to blog about, but I have resisted. I think it’s that overload often talked about. We are saturated with this stuff to the point that we turn it off after awhile, and some think, yes, that’s the idea – saturate them and they will turn it off. One thing is for sure, Obama and the Democrat controlled congress is losing it’s appeal to the everyday American. Even so they are trying … Read entire article »

Allowance for Climate Policy

Ah that sneaky Obama… From Informed Citizens The big news in last year’s budget release was the revelation that the Obama administration planned to use cap-and-trade to raise $646 billion dollars over ten years to finance its big spending programs. At the time I wrote here in the Fox Forum that estimate was a lowball of what actually constituted the biggest tax increase in U.S. history, something White House economist Jason Furman later admitted when he revealed the real revenue would likely be triple the official estimate. So the first thing I checked in this year’s budget was how much revenue was expected from the cap-and-trade energy tax, to which the president reiterated his commitment in his State of the Union address last week. The surprising answer is the budget actually has, … Read entire article »

Commerce Secretary: America needs to pay for China’s emissions

As if Obama’s Cap and Trade Tax, further ruining our economy isn’t bad enough, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said something amazing—U.S. consumers should pay for part of Chinese greenhouse-gas emissions. So China is really smart, they refuse to join the west in what could be called economic suicide, then they allow us to pay for their emissions? China LOVES the idea! Brilliant! According to Hot Air: The US does not need to pay for China’s carbon emissions, even if the “greenhouse effect” presents a danger to the planet, a theory which increasingly looks suspect.  This is yet another version of the blame-America impulse in the Obama administration, one that will hit us all in the wallet — and in our outlets and furnaces. Commerce sent this statement to WSJ “Secretary Locke has been very … Read entire article »

Fine Print Police

Obama wants fine-print police for consumer products – and that’s good, I guess. “Those ridiculous contracts with pages of fine print that no one can figure out — those things will be a thing of the past,” the president said in a statement accompanying the 152-page draft bill. “And enforcement will be the rule, not the exception.” Let’s face it, credit card companies have used complicated lawyer speak on their policies and statements for years. I have to wonder though, if Obama is so upset at long, complicated pages from seller to consumer, why doesn’t he apply that to Congress? We have a cap and trade bill passing the house, with hundreds of pages, millions of dollars, doing it in a hurry, and admittedly our lawmakers haven’t even read it. Says Michelle Malkin: When I live-blogged … Read entire article »
