When the accusations started about Herman Cain, my first thought was, "Oh no, it's Clarence Thomas all over again."
It just seems to be the liberal left's reaction to conservative blacks: Find anyone and everyone who will lie about their character.
Then I thought, now wait a minute, I don't know Cain personally, he could have done what all these women say he did. However I was suspicious still. Actually it's my nature to be suspicious, and in this case, I choose ... Read More

Every month, Thomas Villanova gets a $9,000 reminder of how lucrative it can be to serve as a union leader in Chicago.
The sum is part of a city pension that comes on top of the $198,000 annual salary he is paid to represent the interests of thousands of city workers.
From the Chicago Tribune:
Villanova last worked for the city in 1989 as an electrical mechanic with the Department of Streets and Sanitation, making about $40,000 a year. Yet in 2008 he ... Read More

When people say we need more government to solve our problems, cases like this come to mind.
From the Chicago Tribune
Cornelius Osborne may not seem like baby-sitting material.
He was convicted of raping two women. A succession of felonies, from robbery to failing to register as a sex offender, repeatedly sent him to prison, state records show.
But over more than two years, the state paid Osborne nearly $5,000 to baby-sit two children, before his latest conviction — for dealing drugs — put ... Read More

Out of all the presidents, we know the least about Obama; we can't seem to find or SEE his birth certificate, nor can we even know what his grades were in Kindergarden. Other presidents didn't have this luxury that Obama enjoys. Or at least enjoys for now. People talk. Things get leaked out...

Obama has made sure that all of his records are sealed tight. And apart from the courageous souls at the various educational ... Read More

Glenn Beck tries to answer:

According to David Axelrod, "politics" played a key role in the International Olympic Committee's decision to reject President Obama's appeal in support of Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Olympics.
Interesting, Axelrod didn't choose "racism" as the reason, because here at home, if Obama's policies or plans are rejected - "racism" is the only reason that administration can come up with.
However, using "politics" as the reason the bid failed is also interesting and in my opinion, a poor choice of words.

I remember growing up seeing a guitar about the house and even strumming on it a few times. My mom always told me it was my dad's, but I never saw him play it. It was a different guitar with pictures on it. Back then it seemed a rarity to me.
Some years later, my son Enric found it, and his last stay here became interested in taking it home and having a friend look into its history and perhaps restoring ... Read More

Northern Trust, a Chicago based bank, a bank that received $1.6 billion in bailout money, was caught by TMZ, recently spending a fortune hosting a series of lavish parties and concerts to go along with a Golf Tournament.
We're told Northern Trust paid millions to sponsor the PGA event which ended Sunday, but what happened off the golf course is even more shocking.
Northern Trust flew hundreds of clients and employees to L.A. and put many of them up at some of ... Read More

Chicago has yet to recoup the $1.74 million cost of President Obama's victory celebration in Grant Park -- despite a burgeoning $50.5 million budget shortfall that threatens more layoffs and union concessions.

This date loomed before us with happiness and part dread. We had to be 800 plus miles to Wisconsin from Maryland overnight and back the next day to get the children back to Maryland, 800 plus miles more, in time for the vans leaving for camp.
When it was planned out months ago, it seemed like a total impossiblity. Yet, it had to be done.
Made worse by not having any sleep two nights prior to heading out, and not sleeping the ... Read More
