So sweet a story...
An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright freckles, spent the day at the zoo. Lots of children were waiting in line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with tiger paws.
"You've got so many freckles, there's no place to paint!" a girl in the line said to the little fella.
Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head. His grandmother knelt down ... Read More

As a child, my parents let me believe they wanted was best for me. I feel they were sincere. Never once did I think I existed to boost their ego or fulfil THEIR dreams. However, I have watched first hand a different type of parenting, a narcissists expecting to BE there for THEM, and THEM only.
It's interesting to read what I observed, but didn't fully understand before, a doctor's view on this kind of parenting.

I got an email from Chuck Norris today explaining a little known fact in the health care bill, hidden on page 838.
For some reason, telling parents how to be parents is considered part of the government's idea of health care.
Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government's coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.

Mother's Day was a day of recovering from my trip and I spent it with my mom, together with my sister and her family.
For this mother's day, I thought I would share this lovely photograph I took of Miranda and little Silas. I took this image as we hiked around Reflection Lake at Northland, in Wisconsin.
Many blessings to all mothers!

Perhaps we are so sheltered from bad things in this world, that what is everyday to some, is impossible to believe to us.
Such was the case when I watched Bill O'Reilly last night, introducing news about child executions in Iran from his guest, Nazanin Afshin-Jam . My ears couldn't believe what they were hearing and were in denial through most of the report.
Now, apparently the United Nations has an international law, and to me it seemed outrageous that such a ... Read More

If you haven't looked beyond the mainstream media, you have missed this news story of the judge who gave a rapist of a 7 year old, a sentence of only 2 months. There is some outrage, but some Vermont Media is even sympathizing with Judge Cashman.
The Story:
Mark Hulett pleads guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one charge of lewd and lascivious acts. What did he do? He raped a 7 year old for somewhere over four years ... Read More
