Going through my old photos, I found this photo taken of me long ago. Obviously I was in the middle of some computer issues.
What a blast from the past, as if I remember right, this my very FIRST computer, a Packard Bell 486 Windows 3.11. Does anyone remember this dinosaur? On the larger original image, I can see I was in DOS.
I would call the phone a dinosaur too, except my mom still uses hers. ... Read More

He has been taken into custody.
Now before you take it lightly, here are some guidelines from Howard County Maryland for Parents and Teens reguarding computers and the internet, that seem quite sane ... Read More
Did you know the computer mouse is 40 years old? I had no idea, and there are some experts out there predicting its demise. Perhaps in the next 5 years.
Influenced by some video games, they feel that the computer mouse is no longer needed.
Taking over will be so called gestural computer mechanisms like touch screens and facial recognition devices.
"The mouse works fine in the desktop environment but for home entertainment or working on a notebook it's over," declared analyst Steve ... Read More

My desktop PC is 5 years old. It's not running 100%, but it has been very good to me and I still love it.
However, since a lot of what I do with running my sites, web & graphic design, homeschooling, photography, communications involves my computer, I felt it was time to get a new one before the old one potentially dies on me.
Since these days they make laptops as powerful as desktops, I decided to get a laptop.
So, here is ... Read More
