Christmas Eve was suddenly here. We had a few snow flurries and then it was time to begin our evening together.
John and I always take the photos and it's rare we are the ones being photographed. Seemed for our first Christmas together, we should pose for a few. Besides we wanted an image in our new ornament for the tree. So Laura was our photographer...or was it Silas? :)

I'm her mom and her teacher, and am always proud of Laura. Today both those roles were proud again, when she handed in this extra credit English project, a poem, which she put on one of her photos.

Remember durning Obama's campaign the word "transparency" was said, and often, to the cheers of many people.
I am not surprised that nine months into the presidency, we are looking for this transparency, in particular with the new legislation that no one even reads, they just vote on it.

I think he is going too far in the following video, insisting people learn Spanish.
This is the United States of America, the English settled here, we speak the American form of English. That's it.
