A Poem for Margie
COME WITH ME The Lord saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be, So He put his arms aroud you And whispered, “Come with me.” With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer And saw you fade away, Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, A beautiful smile at rest, God broke our hearts … Read entire article »

God in Heaven
Sometimes moments of sadness bring out the deepest and most passionate of our creative inner thoughts. Laura hasn’t had an easy winter. Illness being one factor and the early death of two young people in her circle of friends. One, was a suicide. She had an English assignment, and insisted she wouldn’t ever be able to write a poem. I had resigned myself to a fight to the finish. Then, one morning, (apparently she had been up til 4 am), I woke up to her pointing to the table, “There’s my poem.” I was rather surprised, but quickly picked it up. It was very obvious she couldn’t dismiss the early death of a friend very easily. She wrote her feelings: God Up in Heaven This is for people Who want to take Their lives in their own hands, Who … Read entire article »

How awesome is that? … Read entire article »

What is Eternity to You?
I have finally finished the book I have been reading, 90 Minutes in Heaven. He nears the end of the book with these words: “Since my return to earth, I’ve been acutely aware that all of us are on a pilgrimage. At the end of this life, wherever we go-heaven or hell-life will be more real than this one we’re now living. I never thought of that before my accident, of course. Heaven was a concept, something I believed in, but I didn’t think about it often.” What is eternity to you? I dare you to answer. … Read entire article »

Currently Reading: 90 Minutes in Heaven
Normally I wouldn’t pick up this book to read. I’d think, “Yet another ‘life after death’ story.” But this one was recommended by sister. It’s not that I don’t believe in certain incidences of these occurences, because I know someone who I respect and admire deeply, who was pronounced dead, and after a time she was alive again, with a memory of a short time in heaven. So goes the story of 90 Minutes in Heaven by … Read entire article »
