You have to love modern day news and how it's all videotaped for our review and reflection. The following clip where Obama mentions the how the stimulus package will create or save jobs "right now", "immediately", "ahead of schedule" and then how he backs off from those words in clips later should be an embarrassment to this administration.
The real news is actually scary:
7 Months After Stimulus 49 of 50 States Have Lost Jobs

I thought this was interesting. Taken from Business Pundit:
25. Raghib “Rocket” Ismael
Notre Dame/Dallas Cowboys star; received the largest 3-year deal in football history
Estimated lifetime earnings: $20 Million
No jail time, drug charges or bankruptcy here, just bad business moves. Financial vultures bled Ismael’s riches by selling him their “fool-proof” investments. After bypassing the NFL as the presumptive #1 pick, Ismael went to the Canadian Football League and signed the largest deal in their history.
He played two years in Canada and 10 ... Read More

I haven't posted in a few days...and my mind sure has been all over the place.
It seems like everyone I know or talk to is sick. Our family was hit early this year and for Laura, it hasn't seemed to have subsided. Not too long ago our pastor, between coughs--his and everyone else's--said he had actually considered shutting the church doors down for a week, allowing everyone time to REST and HEAL. That was a while ago. Last night my ... Read More

No, this isn't a blog referring to "the Hatch" in the program, "Lost". This is a hatch designed by the Roman Catholic hospital in the city of Kumamoto, Japan. This was designed to give people a place to drop of unwanted newborns.
Now as hard as it is to believe it should ever come to this, a mailbox looking contraption with images of storks on it, apparently had on it's opening day its first 'drop'. Although it wasn't a newborn as might be expected, ... Read More

For LOST fans, the show seems to have so many plots and subplots that it is getting confusing.
Today I found a place on the ABC site, that tries to help us out. As the LOST story unfolds, we are learning that each of the survivors have had some connection in the past and some don't even realize it. I do think that is KEY as to what they are doing there on the island.
Did you know that Kate's picture shows ... Read More

Laura borrowed my camera last night and after a session with it, she downloaded the photos to her laptop in her usual fashion, then came to my room to put the camera and everything away.
Not long after that, I heard a little panic from her room, "Where did my pictures go?"
She was sure she downloaded them, and I went to her room and showed her how to do a search for images modified on that day. Nothing came up. We ... Read More
Lost started for its third year, and my kids and I assembled around the TV to see what was going to happen with the cliffhanger it left us with last May.
Just when you think the program can't baffle you anymore, they take it to another level.
There always seems to be more questions than answers, and even when the show sheds light on something, a whole other set of questions keeps you wondering, and tuning back in. :)

Season two of Lost began tonight. The first hour was a recap, and the second hour picked up from last season. We got to know what was in the hole in the ground a little bit more, but, the show didn't highlight anything on what happened to the people on the raft. Ah...so...maybe next week? :)

Even though I rarely watch television, one new show I wanted to watch this season was LOST.
Last night was the two hour season finale. Now I realize that these types of shows want their viewing audience to come back the next season, and I was sure there might be a small cliffhanger, but I couldn't forsee that at every turn there would be more questions than answers after an entire television year of constant mystery.
LOST left us with:
~Locke, Jack, Kate ... Read More
