Remember When Obama was the Media Darling?

Not as much anymore. “Most of you covered me. All of you voted for me,” Obama joked last year at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. Well that doesn’t sound arrogant at all. But even then, only four months into his presidency, the joke fell flat. Now, a year later, with another correspondents’ dinner Saturday night likely to generate the familiar criticism of the press’s cozy relationship with power, the reality is even more at odds with the public perception. Obama and the media actually have a surprisingly hostile relationship — as contentious on a day-to-day basis as any between press and president in the past decade, reporters who cover the White House say. Reporters say the White House is thin-skinned, controlling, eager to go over … Read entire article »

Media Frustration

Seems it’s the media’s turn to be frustrated. Oh, but this has happened before. It’s like the Clintonista regime all over again. The press used to easy access to the White House is finding yet another democratic Presidency hard to reach. Reporters are accusing the White House of stifling access to his oath re-do and giving Obama’s first interview as president to a multi-million dollar inauguration sponsor. Veteran CBS newsman Bill Plante was one of the most vocal critics, questioning the White House’s handling of Wednesday night’s second swearing in – which was covered by just a four-reporter print pool that didn’t include a news photographer or TV correspondent. He also asked new press secretary Robert Gibbs why ABC, which paid millions to host the DC Neighborhood Ball, was granted the only inauguration day … Read entire article »

$150 Million Dollar Obama Inauguration??? Yes We Can!

In these times of economic strife, businesses collapsing, unemloyment rising, and fighting two wars, can this country really justify a whopping $150 million dollar inauguration? Well, I guess to quote Obama, Yes we Can! But to me that is hardly the news story. In 2005, Bush took a beating in the media for his costly inauguration , and I sort of agreed with the immense amount being too much. With the cost more than doubling for Obama’s, do you think he will be under the same attack? I seriously doubt it. Obama, the media’s darling will be accompanied with Hollywood’s big names and surely won’t hear the negativity that Bush did. Just another example of the hypocrisy and double standards in our media today.   … Read entire article »

Hooked On a Feeling

I should not have been surprised when seeing people interviewed, Obama supporters, that they had little or no knowledge of newsworthy items, high-ranking officials, or even which party was in control of Congress at this moment. Many interviewed seemed rather confused, an example being they took Saturday Night Live skits like Tina Fey’s as something factual, and when confronted with facts, didn’t know even remotely what candidate they came from. Something you can blame the mainstream media for, and this site has a name for it, Media Malpractice. Sounds right. I guess after seeing this, it’s just like what John says, "People voted a feeling, not what they knew." Indeed, that seems to be the case. Watch the video here, you will be amazed how few could answer some basic questions … Read entire article »

Any REAL Journalists Out there Anymore?

Wasn’t last night debates BORING? I was excited about it as I learned it was a town hall forum. Then I heard the “big newsman” got to filter all the questions. Then I knew, it was lost. First of all to say, I love blogging. I know that I had to be pushed into it, but once I got into it, I really started to love it. I was aware that when I started that there would be a certain element of posting stories the mainstream media wouldn’t. I don’t like politics and I don’t like politicians, but if the newspapers and news would just do their JOB, us in the blogsphere could relax a bit. Never did I realize the blantant slants and the overall inability to see that the truth … Read entire article »

Straight Out Propagandists

CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, New York Times… You know who they are, and just to name a few. The mainstream media have gone over the line and are now straight out propagandists for the Obama campaign. While they have been liberal and blinkered in their worldview for decades, in 2007-08 for the first time, the major media are consciously covering for one candidate for president and consciously knifing the other. This is no longer journalism — it is simply propaganda. We should turn them off, cancel our subscriptions, and send a message – no more! No matter how many times Obama messes up, they look the other way and invent something on Palin or scurry to find something on McCain. Obama stutters through his own thoughts , it seems to get cut out. Contradictions on … Read entire article »

Ignoring George Obama

I have no idea if this is a story or not. When you hear of Barack Obama being the next Messiah and how compassionate he is and how much integrity he has, you do have to wonder about this, considering the life of his half brother, George. Here are the facts about George Obama. He’s in his twenties. He lives in a slum in a hut. He wants to become a mechanic but doesn’t have the money. He reports that he gets by on a dollar a month. He met George Obama in 2006 for a few minutes and said it was like talking to a “total stranger.” He said when people notice he has the same name as Barack Obama, he denies they are related because he is “ashamed.” The … Read entire article »

Secret Life of the VP Nominee’s Daughter

Secret Life of the VP Nominee’s Daughter

I think the hard left should use caution when attacking Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter’s pregnacy. One only has to look at the TV and movies, teenage pregnacy is very popular at the moment and could truly come back to hurt the democrats in November. The movie Juno was immensely popular and tonight, The Secret Life of an American Teenager finished up a successful summer run. Obama isn’t foolish, when pushed on this issue, he publicly announced … Read entire article »
