Obama’s Bid Rejected

Obama’s Bid Rejected

According to David Axelrod, “politics” played a key role in the International Olympic Committee’s decision to reject President Obama’s appeal in support of Chicago’s bid to host the 2016 Olympics. Interesting, Axelrod didn’t choose “racism” as the reason, because here at home, if Obama’s policies or plans are rejected – “racism” is the only reason that administration can come up with. However, using “politics” as the reason the bid failed is also interesting and in my opinion,  … Read entire article »

The Chinese have the empty seat issue figured out though, they bus in volunteers. There is a lot of speculation as to why this is happening [Weather or many tickets were given to sponsors and are being unused]. No matter what … Read entire article »

Beijing – A No Vegemite Zone

Beijing – A No Vegemite Zone

I have in my desk a jar of Vegemite. Now, why some people would want to eat the stuff, I have no idea. I couldn’t get it past my nose. I keep it for sentimental reasons. However, in Australia, they do eat it, some like it, and there does seem to be some health benefits for those who like it. However, this just in from my friend, Georgie, who told me that in China, games organisers have told … Read entire article »

Olympics in China

I am starting to understand the upcoming Olympics in China less and less. Forgetting the headlines on the toxic goods they produce and send out to the rest of the world, within their own country, they are starting a cleansing, imprisoning all of their "troublemakers " and their families, and this includes a 2 month old under house arrest. Next, British Olympic chiefs are to force athletes to sign a contract promising not to speak out about China’s appalling human rights record – or face being banned from travelling to Beijing. And next, our atheletes are taking their own food to China . "When a caterer working for the United States Olympic Committee went to a supermarket in China last year, he encountered a piece of chicken — half of a breast — that measured … Read entire article »
