A Different Kind of Baby Shower

Posted By Xerraire On Monday, November 19th 2012 In Featured, Personal | Tags: baby shower, bamboo bernie's, Kaylee, party, rich |
A Different Kind of Baby Shower Now, given that I am now married but also part time gypsy, and far from living in a traditional manner, I likely have no business to call this an unconventional baby shower. :) But it WAS different. For one thing, the baby was already born, the party was mostly for the dad as well as the baby, guys were welcome,  and it was held at Bamboo Bernie's, a local drinking and eating establishment. None of that took away from how cute ... Read More

Myth Busted Dems are For the Poor

Posted By Xerraire On Friday, August 10th 2012 In News Items | Tags: america, busted, class, democrats, Forbes, myth, people, poor, republicans, rich, richest, top 100, working |
Myth Busted Dems are For the Poor Who said there are no such thing as rich Democrats?! Michael Bloomberg is an independent Democrat, you have George Soros, Ted Turner, Al Gore who is now on the board of directors at Apple, yes the computing company, and you have Jeff Greene in Florida and there is also Oprah.   I've heard the lie and mantra and so have you. The democrats are for the poor working class and the rich are Republicans, evil wicked Republicans. Why do people carry on ... Read More

Democrats LOVE the Rich

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, July 25th 2012 In Featured, Personal | Tags: democrats, obama, party, rich |
Democrats LOVE the Rich Basically I am tired of being told, and it being misrepresented around the world that the Republican Party is for the rich. That does seem to be the message driven out there. Obviously there is another message for all to see, and it is also put out there, but no one makes the connection. Just only need to open your mind and scan the headlines...the way of living of the other party and the Obama administration and family would suggest the ... Read More

Who to Blame

Posted By Xerraire On Thursday, October 6th 2011 In News Items | Tags: apple, bankers, jobs, occupy wall street, rich, steve jobs, wall street |
Who to Blame “I don’t have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration.” ~Herman Cain Is this a mere distraction to deter people from noticing the failed policies of Obama as Cain suggests? Is ACORN behind it? How can people just walk by a corrupt government in D.C. and protest against money and makers of the THINGS we demand? I have little knowledge of Steve Jobs. ... Read More

The 50 Richest in Congress

Posted By Xerraire On Tuesday, September 6th 2011 In News Items | Tags: congress, rich, richest, wealthiest, wealthy |
The 50 Richest in Congress I think I found a way to solve the debt crisis in this country. Recently a list was posted, the 50 Wealthiest in Congress. It got me to thinking. # 50 's worth was over $5 million dollars. How connected are these law and budget makers with the average American people? They can't possibly feel the same as you and I do when we fill our gas tanks, or go food shopping. They can't possibly understand what it's like to make ... Read More

Obama Playing the Class Warfare Card

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, June 29th 2011 In News Items | Tags: class warfare, obama, of, party, rich, speech |
Obama Playing the Class Warfare Card Our nation is in debt and our two parties have a big disagreement on what to do about it. Our president and leader decides to carry on with political lows and not stay on subject about the differences, but turn it into something it isn't. He played the class warfare card. From National  Journal Kids versus Corporate jets. If President Obama's news conference accomplished anything on Wednesday afternoon, it underscored, in striking tones, his strategy for winning the debt ceiling fight with Republicans: Make ... Read More

Money Is Not Yours It Is a National Resource Says Michael Moore

Posted By Xerraire On Sunday, March 6th 2011 In News Items | Tags: hypocrisy, Michael Moore, money, national resource, rich |
Money Is Not Yours It Is a National Resource Says Michael Moore Look at the earnings from Michael Moore's 'mockumentaries' and his comments about his audience to understand his motivations. In his films, Moore condemns the automotive, energy, health-care, and other industries, claiming their intense greed compromises their ethics. In contrast to the small to negative profit margins of the targets of his critiques, Moore the 'philanthropist' on the other hand, enjoys a 94% margin from his films, earning $292 million: Roger and Me - $8 million Bowling for Columbine $54 million Fahrenheit 9-11 $216 million Sicko ... Read More

Middle Class Attack?

Posted By Xerraire On Tuesday, March 31st 2009 In News Items | Tags: attack, income, middle class, money, rich, taxes |
Middle Class Attack? Reading an article today by Paul Craig Roberts, this line stood out, "The "free American" starts off with a 30% tax rate, the position of a medieval serf." The premise of his article is to show that what the Obama administration is really doing is "taxing ordinary people in order ... Read More

The Money Behind Obama

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, January 28th 2009 In News Items | Tags: big business, money, rich |
The Money Behind Obama Yes we've heard all about the $5 donations that helped build Obama's record-breaking $742 million campaign funds, but what is the whole story? Ever since he ran for the Senate in 2004, Barack Obama has had a wealth of 10-figure tycoons advising - and funding - him. ...Barack Obama has had a slew of billionaire backers with him on his journey to the White House--plutocrats who provide economic and political advice and help to raise money. Lots of money. Since campaign contributions are ... Read More

We Are One, but Some Are More One Than Others

Posted By Xerraire On Tuesday, January 20th 2009 In News Items | Tags: inauguraton, money, obama, perks, rich |
We Are One, but Some Are More One Than Others "We Are One, but Some Are More One Than Others," says Kriston Capps, a little disenchanted with how the Inauguration is being handled. The theme is "We Are One" but Kriston saw fit to rename it. She was speaking of the Inaugural Concert held Sunday. The concert was supposed to be part of "the people's party," said Shawn Paterniti, who had come with his wife Mia from Columbia, Md., to see the show. "But still, you have the VIPs who want their ... Read More

8 Million Millionaires

Posted By Xerraire On Sunday, April 20th 2008 In News Items | Tags: 2007, millionaires, rich, world |
8 Million Millionaires It's nice to know in these difficult economic times, not everyone is suffering. Did you know that in the whole world there are 8 million millionaires? The ranks of the world’s rich swelled to 8m during 2007 as the wealthy proved immune to the strains across global economies in the latter half of the year. There was a 4.5 per cent increase last year in so-called “high net worth individuals”, those with investable assets of more than $1m excluding primary residence, according to ... Read More

The Rich

The Rich I don't believe I needed a study to know this, but according to a study published in Science , Money does not buy much Happiness. However, according to another article, the rich do get more sleep . More money and more sleep? That's a disgrace that they can't be a little happier and give us sleep deprived poor people a little hope! :)   ... Read More

A different perspective

A different perspective "One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, ... Read More
