“Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.” ~ Ronald Reagan Congress continues to live up to its 10% approval rating and passed the Senate version of the bailout bill last night. Computer Rage
You’ve heard of road rage. How about computer rage? Apparently a 15 year old Florida boy became so enraged over a change in computer priviledges, he attacked his mom and younger sibling. He chased his mom with a knife and hit his brother with a sugar cane. He has been taken into custody. Now before you take it lightly, [43% of parents have no Internet use rules for their kids to follow] here are some guidelines from Howard County Maryland for Parents and Teens reguarding computers and the internet, that seem quite sane to me: "The most effective, reliable, Internet Safety Filter is an Involved, Informed, and Aware Parent and an Educated and Ethical Kid." China Warns
Today I read that China has issued the USA a stern warning. “China warned the United States on Thursday against “groundless smear attacks” against Chinese products and said it was working responsibly to address concerns over a spate of recent food safety scares.” The article continues to say how they haven’t taken it lightly on the recent toxic food issues, tires, pet food, and so on, but then it continues. “It is unfair and irresponsible for the U.S. media to single China out, play up China’s food safety problems and mislead the U.S. consumer,” Oh! It’s the USA’s MEDIA they have a problem with. I thought they were warning the government. Gee, don’t they know that is an institution out of control??? Good luck to them on that one. Immigration: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
It seems our government officials in Washington are trying to make a deal regarding the 12 million illegal immigrants in the USA. This seems to be an issue where there are many disagreements. The Good More than a few economist are praising the idea of immigration reform as they feel it will be good for the economy. On paper it sounds good, right? 12 million people is 12 million people paying taxes and becoming a driving force into the economy? Or is it that they are already fueling the economy, but because they are illegal, Uncle Sam’s pocket doesn’t get filled? The Bad But doesn’t it have to be about more than the economy?
