Shopping with the Girls

Posted By Xerraire On Tuesday, March 20th 2012 In Featured, Personal | Tags: georgie, iris, john, perth, shopping, work |
Shopping with the Girls Yesterday Georgie, Iris, and I went on a girls day out shopping. We first though, surprised John at his work. I wanted to see where it was he earned a living and meet his co-workers. He was indeed surprised but gave me a quick grand tour. Georgie, after dealing with some traffic, got us safely to the shopping center. I suppose shopping is shopping, but of course, all the store names were different. I did recognize a few, Target, K-Mart, Payless, ... Read More

Xerraire Does WoW The invitation came. I about cringed at the thought. How can I manage to fit something like that in my busy schedule? I can't do it, I immediately thought. These things are addicting and just over my head. I will stink at it. This is so unlike me, I couldn't... My dear friend Mike had sent me an invitation to play World of Warcraft. According to Wikipedia World of Warcraft, often abbreviated as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard ... Read More

Posted By Xerraire On Monday, March 14th 2011 In Memories | Tags: Barbara, enric, family, fun, laura, lleida, miquel, shopping, spain, taking photos, trip |
Shopping and Taking Photos in Lleida In 1998 our family took a trip to Spain. I am just now able to  take the movies from the video camera and get them onto a DVD. (thanks Roger!) I chose this excerpt, as I love the area of Lleida. It's a great place to explore and the shopping is fun there too.The children and I enjoyed our day there. Here are some of the photos taken that day. ... Read More

Shopping Today, Miranda, Laura and I decided to go to Kohls. They had a big sale, and we had another 30% card extra off. Spring is around the corner and so are some events, (like Miquel and Jenny's wedding), so we all need some things. Shopping is sure different taking kids along. :) It's handy that Laura is quick with her phone camera too. Well I didn't get the shoes I was looking for, but we picked up a few things, and the kids had ... Read More

Black Friday – Cyber Monday

Posted By Xerraire On Sunday, November 25th 2007 In General, News Items, Personal | Tags: black friday, christmas, cyber monday, delivery, free, shopping |
Black Friday – Cyber Monday   I knew about Black Friday, in fact, years ago I worked in retail in the middle of that chaos, and this year my daughter insisted on being a shopping part of it as part of her birthday celebration. In spite of housing woes and gas costs, the predicted gloom for Friday's sales was not meant to be. Associated Press reports: "According to ShopperTrak RCT Corp., which tracks sales at more than 50,000 retail outlets, total sales rose 8.3 percent to about $10.3 billion ... Read More

Best Buy Shopping

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, July 11th 2007 In Personal | Tags: best buy, shopping |
Best Buy Shopping   At a young age, Laura seriously asked me why I didn't have a parking place reserved just for me from my favorite store, Best Buy. The clerks there agreed. Some know that I belong to affliate programs where I place their ads or products from various places on my sites, and I get a commission. For awhile now, I thought, wouldn't it be nice if Best Buy would have such an affiliate program, after all, it's my favorite store! Now I finally can! ... Read More

It’s begining to look (and feel) a lot like…

It’s begining to look (and feel) a lot like… the start of the Christmas season! Went out in the bitter cold to go Christmas shopping, had a lovely red cardinal perch on our deck outside the door, looked over my Christmas list once and twice to see who I could check off, and now baking pumpkin bars, and the house is full of spicy aromas.   Don't you just love this time of year?     ... Read More

Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday All these years concerned about Black Friday, I didn't even know there was a "Cyber Monday" till a recent news report. It made sense the news report, stating that Cyber Monday was referring to those who got on the internet at lunch break to start their Christmas Shopping. Just as I get used to the idea and think I better spiff up my own shopping page , I read at MSNBC,   Cyber Monday Is a Joke They seemed to think that it should be ... Read More

Black Friday

Black Friday Through the years, unless I had to go out and work on this day, I avoided leaving the cozy comfort of my house. This year was different, as Laura was armed with gift cards and birthday money and wanted to go to the mall. So, I braved traffic, crowded parking lots, long lines, and the multitude and took Laura and her friend shopping. I also got an early start on my Christmas shopping. Oh well, I got to see Santa.  And he got ... Read More

Christmas Eve

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, December 28th 2005 In Personal | Tags: christmas eve, shopping |
Christmas Eve After all the days of shopping, malls. shops and literally wearing myself out, Christmas Eve was finally here. Not a rule I have always liked, but the kids love it, and that is that they open their presents on Christmas Eve. I didn't see any reason to change that tradition this year, as Christmas on a Sunday meant we would be in church Christmas morning. Here are some glimpses of the kids at Christmas Eve: They had some very stuffed stockings to unpack ... Read More

Shop with Xerraire

Shop with Xerraire Who would make a cartoon of herself and invite you to shop with her? I would of course! Part of my job as affiliate manager for Shawn Collins is to make sure that applications received meet the criteria to become publishers for various merchants. Then I go on to vallidate those that do. Many of the sites that came through for me to look at were shopping sites. The more I saw of them, the more I thought, "I could do that." Many ... Read More
