The invitation came.
I about cringed at the thought. How can I manage to fit something like that in my busy schedule? I can't do it, I immediately thought. These things are addicting and just over my head. I will stink at it. This is so unlike me, I couldn't...

In 1998 our family took a trip to Spain. I am just now able to take the movies from the video camera and get them onto a DVD. (thanks Roger!)
I chose this excerpt, as I love the area of Lleida. It's a great place to explore and the shopping is fun there too.The children and I enjoyed our day there.
Here are some of the photos taken that day. ... Read More

Today, Miranda, Laura and I decided to go to Kohls. They had a big sale, and we had another 30% card extra off.
Spring is around the corner and so are some events, (like Miquel and Jenny's wedding), so we all need some things.
Shopping is sure different taking kids along. :)
It's handy that Laura is quick with her phone camera too.
Well I didn't get the shoes I was looking for, but we picked up a few things, and the kids had ... Read More

the start of the Christmas season!
Went out in the bitter cold to go Christmas shopping, had a lovely red cardinal perch on our deck outside the door, looked over my Christmas list once and twice to see who I could check off, and now baking pumpkin bars, and the house is full of spicy aromas.
Don't you just love this time of year?

All these years concerned about Black Friday, I didn't even know there was a "Cyber Monday" till a recent news report.
It made sense the news report, stating that Cyber Monday was referring to those who got on the internet at lunch break to start their Christmas Shopping.
Just as I get used to the idea and think I better spiff up my own shopping page , I read at MSNBC,
Cyber Monday Is a Joke
They seemed to think that it should be ... Read More

Through the years, unless I had to go out and work on this day, I avoided leaving the cozy comfort of my house. This year was different, as Laura was armed with gift cards and birthday money and wanted to go to the mall.
So, I braved traffic, crowded parking lots, long lines, and the multitude and took Laura and her friend shopping. I also got an early start on my Christmas shopping.
Oh well, I got to see Santa. And he got ... Read More
After all the days of shopping, malls. shops and literally wearing myself out, Christmas Eve was finally here.
Not a rule I have always liked, but the kids love it, and that is that they open their presents on Christmas Eve. I didn't see any reason to change that tradition this year, as Christmas on a Sunday meant we would be in church Christmas morning.
Here are some glimpses of the kids at Christmas Eve:
They had some very stuffed stockings to unpack ... Read More
