Posted By Xerraire On Thursday, November 1st 2012 In News Items | Tags: illegal immigrants, immigrants, jobs, obama four years, unemployment |
Two-thirds of Jobs Go to Immigrants During The Obama Years When John and I got married and trying to decide how and where to live, perhaps he should have come here... From Washington Times: Two-thirds of those who have found employment under President Obama are immigrants, both legal and illegal, according to an analysis that suggests immigration has soaked up a large portion of what little job growth there has been over the past three years. The Center for Immigration Studies is releasing the study Thursday morning, a day ahead of the final ... Read More

From CNS News There were 2,362 people who earned a million dollars or more in taxable income in 2009 and who also received federal unemployment benefits that year, according to a report by the Congressional Research Service. In fact, these millionaires collectively raked in more than $20 million in unemployment benefits. No Politician Can Create Jobs by Spending More Money

Posted By Xerraire On Monday, September 12th 2011 In News Items | Tags: bill, daniel hannan, jobs, jobs bill, money, stimulus, unemployment |
No Politician Can Create Jobs by Spending More Money President Obama seems to think that throwing money at a problem, solves the problem, even though it hasn't worked before. His "jobs speech" was exactly what I expected. Spend more money or "stimulus". Which hasn't worked any times that it's been implemented, and that includes George Bush's stimulus. So, there will be some in Washington with enough common sense to oppose the jobs bill. They will be accused of not caring about the staggering unemployment in our nation. If you're one of ... Read More

Jobless Rate in Spain Over 20 Percent

Posted By Xerraire On Friday, January 28th 2011 In News Items | Tags: 2011, España, jobless, rate, spain, unemployment |
Jobless Rate in Spain Over 20 Percent At one time Spain used to be my second home, and still now I have many loved ones who live there. So that is one reason to keep up with the news, but I do have another reason. Since Obama and Democrat's policies are trying to instill here what Spain already has, I think it's wise to keep a watch and see what happens. So far, it's not good. I do believe that if Obama had his way totally, we would ... Read More

Why No One Is Hiring

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, August 11th 2010 In News Items | Tags: health insurance, jobs, obamacare, unemployment |
Why No One Is Hiring Perhaps the following gives us some insight as to why no one is hiring: By MICHAEL P. FLEISCHER from the Wall Street Journal With unemployment just under 10% and companies sitting on their cash, you would think that sooner or later job growth would take off. I think it's going to be later—much later. Here's why. Meet Sally (not her real name; details changed to preserve privacy). Sally is a terrific employee, and she happens to be the ... Read More

This is Not Leadership

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, June 9th 2010 In News Items | Tags: BP, CEO, community organizer, leadership, obama, unemployment |
This is Not Leadership I guess  being a community organizer doesn't make you a leader. We are now familiar with Obama's statement regarding the oil crisis: “I don’t sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers so I know whose ass to kick.” To think that talking to 'experts' to know who to blame/punish, is not leadership. According to RedState There is one well leaking caused by the collapse of ... Read More

Where Are the Jobs?

Posted By Xerraire On Wednesday, October 21st 2009 In General | Tags: clip, jobs, lost, states, stimulus, unemployment, video, you tube |
Where Are the Jobs? You have to love modern day news and how it's all videotaped for our review and reflection. The following clip where Obama mentions the how the stimulus package will create or save jobs "right now", "immediately", "ahead of schedule"  and then how he backs off from those words in clips later should be an embarrassment to this administration. The real news is actually scary: 7 Months After Stimulus 49 of 50 States Have Lost Jobs America Now Over 6 Million Jobs ... Read More

The Young and the Jobless

The Young and the Jobless In the news, we keep getting updates on how unemployment rates are going up and up. One thing you might not be noticing is the figures for young people. The September teen unemployment rate hit 25.9% the highest rate since World War II and up from 23.8% in July. Some 330,000 teen jobs have vanished in two months. Hardest hit of all: black male teens whose unemployment rate shot up to a catastrophic 50.4% It was merely a terrible 39.2% in ... Read More

Happy Days Are Here Again

Happy Days Are Here Again How do I know? Well the White House top economic adviser says so! Top economic adviser Larry Summers highlighted one Friday to make his case that the economic free-fall has ended. The number of people searching for the term “economic depression” on Google is down to normal levels, Summers said. And there you have it.The White House has googled it, and now it's official. I really do hope they rely on more than just google to make their case. So ignore all that unemployment, and the ... Read More

Patriotic Retirement Plan Chris and Jim sent me this today. This is from an article in the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday.  The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?" Dear Mr. President: Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.  You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan: There ... Read More
