This was a different Easter for me.
I suppose this was the first time since 1979, that I was away from the bosom of my family for Easter. After talking to them, I think I was missed. I did miss them too, however, I was kept very busy with my new family.
We did make it to church, at Morley Baptist, the pastor gave a sermon on the facts about the resurrection. Interestingly enough, Rodney's blog post today and radio show also ... Read More

Today was a "Cammy Day" as we call them, and being summer, swimming in the pool was definitely a highlight scheduled for the day.
Now Cammy being older, knows how to do a lot more in the pool than Silas and of course Rubí.
Rubí is not yet enchanted with getting into the water, yet, and Silas seems to run out of things to do soon.
So, I decided to fill up some buckets with water.
Next was Rubí's turn.
So much time was spent ... Read More

I've made a few posts about the dangers of fluoride in our drinking water. Today Miquel brought home a new bottled water, which says it doesn't have fluoride in it. Many bottled waters do have some fluoride. Penta water claims not to.
Penta Water is ultra purified, energized water that not only fully hydrates, but may also help increase antioxidant activity in your body, making it an easy, refreshing way to stay fully hydrated and to get the extra ... Read More

Today was our first full day at Ocean City.
After watching the sunrise, we went out for breakfast. As it turns out, my favorite place in the world (The Dough Roller) to eat breakfast, Donna likes too!
And now Laura is a convert too!
The pancakes are simply the BEST. Mine were plain, Jenny got Pineapple and coconut, and Donna got pecan.
Laura helped me with mine and loved them.
They decorate the Dough Roller with carousel horses.
Next we hit the beach.
Here is our hotel ... Read More

...and the water is fine!
After much labor in May; getting the leaves out, the cover off, the filter and pump cared for, and cleaning the sides of the pool, it is now finally swimable!
After a chilly and very wet May and June, the water is starting to be swimable. We even put up a clothesline for the towels! ... Read More

I have already blogged on the dangers of fluoride, but more information on this toxic poison is continuing to pour in.
If I ever wondered why my thyroid doesn't work properly, the mystery seems to be solved with the fluoride pills my dentist insisted to my mom that I take as a child, since we were using well water, and not fluoride treated city water.

Apparently traces of 63 drugs have been found in the water supply around the U.S., including sex hormones.

Here's the list of metropolitan areas, with the number of pharmaceuticals detected and some examples of specific drugs that were found, or where tests were negative, not conducted or awaiting results:
Albuquerque, N.M.: tests negative
Arlington, Texas: 1 (unspecified pharmaceutical)
Atlanta: 3 (acetaminophen, caffeine and cotinine)
Austin, Texas: tests negative

So I was talking to Lisa on the phone the other day.
She says:
"So I went to the store and bought water, air, and crickets. What's up with that?"
I couldn't help but laugh. We have water, air, and crickets in abundance.
Why would anyone need to buy any of them?
Frankly, it's hilarious and she knew it when she told me.
We do seem to live in an age where our shopping lists are kinda strange looking.

“I believe that water will one day be employed as fuel, that hydrogen and oxygen which constitute it,
used singly or together, will furnish an inexhaustible source of heat and light, of an intensity of which
coal is not capable.”
– Jules Verne, The Mysterious Island (1874)
Damage to the U.S. oil infrastructure and skyrocketing fuel costs may have finally prompted more serious action to steer us away from dependency on oil and look another direction. That direction might be Aquygen™ , a combustible gas ... Read More

The possible negative effects of fluoride have not been lost on me since I have thyroid disease, and as most do, I have tried to educate myself on what makes the condition worse or what started it.
Well like every other topic of the day, be it global warming, or whether a quake caused a mine collapse or the mine collapse caused the quake, no set of "experts" seem to agree on the topic of fluoride either.
So for years now, I ... Read More

Last evening, I started to grow quite concerned when I heard fire engine after fire engine fly past my house and around the corner. When I thought the crisis was over, another set of fire engines would make haste down the road and around the corner. It was getting rediculous, I was counting about 50 of them. I hadn't heard that many emergency vehicles since I was trapped in Madrid with the 1979 terrorist bombs.
My count was abit off, apparently ... Read More

The United States Navy Memorial at 7th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Indiana Avenue in Washington, D.C. honors those who have served, and are currently serving, in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine.
The memorial is adjacent to the Archives-Navy Mem'l-Penn Quarter station and the National Archives building.

Thanks to a certain Mr Jeff, I was persuaded to finally go into the big city of Washington D.C. and do it in a way that avoided the traffic and parking issues, and take the metro.
Getting to the New Carrollton Metro station was the first issue, as for some reason I had two sets of directions from google, and I had to pick one. Once there, I have to say, there was a lot of help in the purchase of ... Read More

Barely on time for the rehearsal dinner, we were whisked to Waukesha as the water tower so boldly let us know
to the Griffiths house
for a quick meeting of the family and friends and a chance to change for the rehearsal dinner and for the church afterwards.
At the church we all listened carefully for our instructions for the ceremony the next day
given by John Zimmer, Miranda's once youth pastor and soon to be a missionary to Palau.
