Spending in government happens. We know that one of government's first job is to keep its people safe-one thing that has been a total FAIL in the Obama Administration in Libya.
But the Obamas have taken us back to the old days of England when the leaders are and live like royalty.
Someone please tell me WHY they think that for one minute Barack and Michelle represent them, the middle class??
Between lavish dinners, vacations, and mixing with Hollywood, which part is like ... Read More

"There is nothing more important than finding out what is after death. What happens to us after we die?"
~George Harrison
At my bridal shower amidst a party of girlie stuff and sexy nighties, I open a gift from Dina, the book, "The One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven."
Having a hard time switching gears from the box full of nighties, I was almost afraid to ask, what was that one thing?
She explained she wanted me to have something to read ... Read More

Miranda had the most thoughtful idea for a graduation present for Laura.
It took a lot of preparation and creativity, and plain old sneakiness.
When Laura was away, Miranda got on Laura's laptop, downloaded photos on to a flash drive, then put them on her own computer so she could use the Blurb service and create a book loaded with Laura's photography works. The quality of the paper was excellent. Miranda really made caring selections. You can see the inside of the ... Read More

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" ~Albert Einstein
It was 1916 and Albert Einstein didn't like where his calculations were leading him. If his theory of General Relativity was true, it meant that the universe was not eternal but had a beginning. Einstein's calculations indeed were revealing a definite beginning to all time, all matter, and all space. This flew in the face of his belief that the universe was static and eternal.
Einstein later called his discovery ... Read More

Sarah Palin's new book is out, but the anti-palin crowd did something I felt was almost illegal. Sarah Palin's book is called "Going Rogue"
I guess the liberals, in fear, had to do something to prevent sales. They created a book, almost identical in look and title, "Going Rouge". Incredible.
Now suppose you want HER book, but you see these two at the bookstore. How easy would it be to pick up the wrong one? It's my belief that was the intention.

It's no wonder MSNBC's ratings are down, when your news stories are about putting other people down and making fun of them (a tiresome tactic of Democrats towards Republicans - they did it to Ronald Reagan and Bush).
Apparently Sarah Palin has agreed to write a book. Chris Matthews of MSNBC, decided instead of just reporting it, to make fun of her, belittle her. He cites that she not only is going to READ a book, but WRITE a book. He ... Read More

I received what I guess is my first Christmas present this year. It's a book called Apples of Gold by Dr. John R. Rice, it's filled with wonderful poems. The one I opened up to reminded me how Satan is our accuser, quick to demand our punishment, and how Jesus is our Advocate.

Normally I wouldn't pick up this book to read. I'd think, "Yet another 'life after death' story." But this one was recommended by sister.
It's not that I don't believe in certain incidences of these occurences, because I know someone who I respect and admire deeply, who was pronounced dead, and after a time she was alive again, with a memory of a short time in heaven.
