ACORN: Business as Usual
It just has another set of names. Fraud, corruption, intimidation, all words that one can easily associate with ACORN. Why have there been no consequences and what does this mean to our next election? From Heritage.org ACORN might have disbanded, but the risk of vote fraud in the November 2010 elections is still real. “Desperate men and women will do desperate things to maintain power when the public threatens to take that power away from them,” said David Keene, chairman of the American Conservative Union. “That means that, more so than in other years, [some candidates] are going to be relying on whatever kind of assistance they can get from whatever quarter that assistance might come.” That assistance will come from ACORN-like groups, Keene explained at yesterday’s Bloggers Briefing at Heritage. Keene said the people … Read entire article »

Some Sanity Needed
Ladies and Gentlemen, if this is the hope and change many signed up for, I do believe they were greatly deceived. From FreeCongress.org Convert Stimulus to Tax Cut By E. Ralph Hostetter January 13, 2010 Last February 17, 2009, the United States enacted a stimulus package under the title of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. President Barack Obama promised transparency in his administration and established a Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board for the stimulus funds, according to its government Web site … Read entire article »

Stimulus for Fraud
Michael E. Mann is an American climatologist, and author of more than 80 peer-reviewed journal publications. He has attained public prominence as lead author of a number of articles on paleoclimate and as one of the originators of a graph of temperature trends dubbed the “hockey stick graph” for the shape of the graph. The graph received both praise and criticism after its publication in an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. Mann was implicated … Read entire article »

Obama, TARP, Money and Control
Government forces bank to take TARP money Bank gives it back. Government says no, keep it. Why? Control. Obama and team wants to have CONTROL over all our financial institutions. By STUART VARNEY I must be naive. I really thought the administration would welcome the return of bank bailout money. Some $340 million in TARP cash flowed back this week from four small banks in Louisiana, New York, Indiana and California. This isn’t much when we routinely talk in trillions, but clearly that money has not been wasted or otherwise sunk down Wall Street’s black hole. So why no cheering as the cash comes back? My answer: The government wants to control the banks, just as it now controls GM and Chrysler, and will surely control the health industry in the not-too-distant future. Keeping them TARP-stuffed is … Read entire article »

Free Attorney’s Advice
Some useful advice that came to my inbox from Linda and George: 1. Do not sign the back of your credit cards. Instead, put ‘PHOTO ID REQUIRED.’ 2. When you are writing checks to pay on your credit card accounts, DO NOT put the complete account number on the ‘For’ line. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won’t have access to it. 3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed … Read entire article »

Crony Capitalism
This was in my inbox from Newt: There’s a term that’s commonly applied to the economic systems of some Asian and Latin American countries. It’s “crony capitalism.” Crony capitalism is when government controls significant parts of the economy. Under this kind of bureaucratic micromanagement, politicians – not the free market – call the shots. And that means that the decisions that control the economy are of necessity political decisions, not economic ones. Crony … Read entire article »

Randomness
Why, when late for a doctor’s appointment, was there a bonfire in my driveway preventing me from leaving the house in a timely manner? Where did the extra hour come from that Miquel had to work since last night was the end of Daylight Savings Time? Speaking of that extra hour, how come that was the night I couldn’t sleep? (I think it’s related to the bonfire). How come for a man running for United States President, I keep seeing headlines and songs about him ”saving/changing the world”? Did he ask the world about this? How can he save the world, when he doesn’t seem to have a clue about his family? Speaking of the election, how come in our revered Constitution it’s clear what the parameters are for who are eligable for running for president, and no … Read entire article »

Any REAL Journalists Out there Anymore?
Wasn’t last night debates BORING? I was excited about it as I learned it was a town hall forum. Then I heard the “big newsman” got to filter all the questions. Then I knew, it was lost. First of all to say, I love blogging. I know that I had to be pushed into it, but once I got into it, I really started to love it. I was aware that when I started that there would be a certain element of posting stories the mainstream media wouldn’t. I don’t like politics and I don’t like politicians, but if the newspapers and news would just do their JOB, us in the blogsphere could relax a bit. Never did I realize the blantant slants and the overall inability to see that the truth … Read entire article »

Election Sleaze in O-Hi-O
Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign blitzed bars and advocates for the homeless have lined up vans to ferry potential voters from shelters. The prize could be thousands of traditionally elusive voters in hard-fought Ohio who would have the chance to register and vote on the same day — if the courts don’t intervene. Grab people from homeless shelters to vote??? Do they buy them a sandwich too? So here is what is happening today. People are showing up to register and vote. There is no affirmative evidence that these people have not registered or voted somewhere else. There is no control. Normally in an election, partisan election monitors are allowed into polling places so that they can police each other. But not in two counties, Franklin and Montgomery, in Ohio. Brunner also issued … Read entire article »

ACORN: Vote Early, Vote Often?
In Vegas: State authorities on Tuesday raided an organization that registers low-income people to vote, alleging that its canvassers falsified forms with bogus names, fake addresses or famous personalities. The secretary of state’s office launched an investigation after noticing that names did not match addresses and that most members of the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be registering in Nevada to vote in November’s general election. “Some of these (forms) were facially fraudulent; we basically had the starting lineup for the Dallas Cowboys,” Secretary of State Ross Miller said. “Tony Romo is not registered to vote in Nevada. Anyone trying to pose as Terrell Owens won’t be able to cast a ballot.” Agents with the secretary of state and state attorney general offices served a search warrant on the headquarters of the Association of … Read entire article »

Obama, Terrorist Bill Ayers, and Voter Fraud Connection
Just this week, the Wall Street Journal’s Stanley Kurtz ran a HUGE exposé on the long relationship between Obama and Ayers, entitled “Obama and Ayers Pushed Radicalism On Schools” — giving details about what they did together, and revealing to the nation what we’ve been saying all along William Charles Ayers and Barack Obama have been friends for decades. This is a man who has admitted to BOMBING THE PENTAGON — and has never expressed one ounce of regret for his actions. Ayers is a terrorist — and Obama is his friend and political student. Obama has tried to dismiss Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.” Yet documents … Read entire article »
