Back in Windows 98 and XP days, I used a program called PrintFolder and I was very happy with it.
Today, using my Windows 7 computer, and looking over what Christmas music I have, I was hoping to print the contents of the folder. Then I realized, I don't have that program for this OS. I first thought, gee, you'd think Windows 7 with all it's hype would have something already installed for such a need. It doesn't.
The reason I wanted ... Read More

Our church recently got a new roof.
Now I don't think there is anything wrong with reconizing the effort that went into the new roof. However in today's church bulletin, I couldn't help a few giggles at the printed list:
$135,000 - in savings to the church
67 "holy souls" (Volunteers)
24 "holey souls"
21 meals provided
130 sheets of plywood
$25,000 in donated materials
1,480 hours of labor
15,000 sq. ft. of underlayment
140 meatballs
19,000 sq. ft. of sheet metal
720 cold cups
45 gallons of Gatorade
160 pieces of chicken
17 watermelons ... Read More

I have been trying to figure out a way to put all my websites listed in one place and under one domain name. This hasn't been easy. I was never good with names for things like this. Anyway, for now, I have created the XerraireNetwork page, a list of all my sites and projects in one place.

I am a hopeless listmaker. My blog testifies to that.
Recently having moved some of my things from my house, and having unpacked most books from the barn, I have put together a list of the books I currently own that are dusted off and put up on the shelf. Likely more to come.
Some were gifts, and even one on this list I had a part in helping the author!

I sure can't pretend to be an authority on presidential pardons. I do think though, it would be wise for Bill and Hilary to be careful with their criticism of President Bush’s decision to erase the prison sentence of former aide Lewis “Scooter” Libby. In his commutation decision, Bush left a $250,000 fine. Libby paid the fine on Thursday.
Bush has had the fewest of pardons of any modern president. Mr. Clinton averaged 228 during each of his administrations. Mr. Bush’s ... Read More

Recently at my Photography forums at Unique Exposures, we discussed birds and what was my secret to attracting them to my backyard. I didn't really have a secret to share except that I offer suet and seeds for them regularly.
A member, Johnstox, said he was starting a list of birds that he could name that came to his backyard, which prompted me to create my own list.
So far, and to the best of my memory here are the birds that ... Read More

Most who visit my blog know that my external hard drive, where I store all my music, failed.
I have not been able to get together the money needed to look into a data recovery specialist, although, a few of them quoted me fair prices, well below the 1,000 - 2,000 dollar standard, it was still steep for me in light of my limited income.
I have that on the back burner for now, perhaps I will still be able to do ... Read More
