Not everyone in Maryland was so lucky, but for our household, hurricane Sandy was...

...or to write messages on the steamed up windows.
Don't get me wrong, we treated the event seriously, prepared for it, and knew its potential for harm. We just were so blessed to not have any trees knocked over, not experience flooding, nor did we lose power. One glitch was Miranda was ... Read More

Now I completely understand why Mitt Romney feels he can cut back funding on Sesame Street.
First, just to say, Big Bird, Bert & Ernie, Elmo, Cookie Monster are all loved in our household when my children were growing up. Enric loved Ernie, Miquel loved Big Bird, and well, Laura was more for Oscar the Grouch. So I have nothing against Sesame Street at all. In fact I took my children to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania, bought the videos, the ... Read More

Referring to when he took over as Massachusetts governor, he said, "I had the chance to pull together a Cabinet, and all the applicants seemed to be men," Romney said at the second debate. "I went to a number of women's groups and said, 'Can you help us find folks?' and they brought us whole binders full of women."
Now, everyone KNEW he meant binders full of resumes of qualified women. But the liberals and the Obamamedia has been running with ... Read More

Can we do with a little more HONESTY from the White House?
They are turning this into the UGLIEST Election ever!
From NewsBusters:
Last Friday, the Obama campaign released a Mitt Romney attack ad that deceptively edited a September 23 broadcast of CBS's 60 Minutes.
Take a look at the ad side by side with what Romney actually told Scott Pelley
SCOTT PELLEY: You made on your investments personally about $20 million last year and you paid 14 percent in federal taxes. That’s the capital ... Read More

“If there be any truer measure of a man than by what he does, it must be by what he gives.”

Willard Mitt Romney
I have to admit, I don't know a lot about Mitt Romney. He wasn't my choice in the primary. We often form opinions of candidates, and for some reason, I didn't like Romney's polish. He just seemed like your regular, manufactured, state of the art politician. Since our country is in real ... Read More

Romney and the Olympics
I've heard Mitt Romney upset a few people in England by in some way indicating or questioning that they might not be ready for the Olympics.
“There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, the supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, ... Read More

Recently news stories have appeared that at one time perhaps Mitt Romney was guilty of being a bully while in school. News reports quickly reminded us that our president admitted to also being a bully towards a girl. (Quite possibly that was a composite of several girls?) I suppose presidential candidates and sitting presidents running for re-election should be ready for the digging up of any and all dirt in the past, even to high school.
But they were kids, which ... Read More

Mitt Romney unloaded a speech this weekend at the Voters Value Summit, that was very good. He was not my candidate in 2008, but I have to admit that he speaks very frankly here.
Some highlights are:
"A year ago, there were quite a few people who were ready to write off this movement. They were enthralled by Barack Obama’s promise of near-Biblical transformations. Their legs were tingling." He spoke majestically, framed by Greek columns. Well, he can still spin a ... Read More
