Barack Obama threatens to withdraw support from wavering Democrats
I question things, especially our leaders, and here is one I had to ask myself. Obama promised bipartisanship on the campaign trail. I didn’t believe it then and it doesn’t look very good so far for keeping his promise. But how believable can he be, when he threatens his own party when they don’t agree with him on everything? From the Telegraph: Barack Obama threatens to withdraw support from wavering Democrats Barack Obama has said he will not campaign for any Democratic congressmen who fails to support health care reform. The president will refuse to make fund-raising visits during November elections to any district whose representative has not backed the bill. A one-night presidential appearance can bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars in funds which would otherwise take months to accumulate … Read entire article »

Obama Health Care: Soprano Tactics?
I am only one of many, a majority of people, who recognize that the health care system in the USA needs help, but are totally against the one Obama has ready for us. For those who still favor the idea, perhaps they should ask themselves, is it a good bill? If so, then why did it take so many sweetheart deals to get it pushed through this far, and that STILL might not be enough? Why can’t this bill stand on its own merit??? From the New York Post: President Obama’s attempts to ram health- care reform through an increasingly reluctant Congress are starting to resemble a really eventful episode of “The Sopranos.” Whether or not you believe former Rep. Eric Massa’s bizarre accusations of locker-room confrontations and conspiracies … Read entire article »

Pride…Secretly Fears All Competition and Dreads All Rivals
An article from Chuck Norris: Obama’s Oscar by Chuck Norris I am no pinnacle of humility, and I’ve learned my fair share of hard lessons from the camps of conceit. But I’m not sure the former Chicago politician occupying the White House ever has been schooled with a primer on the perils of pride. It’s one thing (though still distasteful) to be boastful in a sports or fighting ring; it’s quite another in the Oval Office. We were promised change, but it seems to me this White House’s smug swagger and strut rival the great taunts and bluster of Muhammad Ali in his heyday. In fact, if I were handing out awards, President Barack Obama would win hands down the Oscar for overconfidence and arrogance. Here are a few examples of his Oscar-worthy political … Read entire article »

Obama Administration Denies Public Access to Fannie and Freddie Documents
If you had a 400 billion dollar bill, and you were partially responsible to pay for it, wouldn’t you like to know WHY and HOW this bill came to be? Fannie and Freddie Mac alone will likely comprise 400 billion of the trillions that went out in the bailouts. The American people are paying the bill and told very little. Don’t you think we have a right to know? What about the transparency this administration promised? Unfortunately the Obama administration disagrees. Just last month the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), the agency responsible for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, responded to our FOIA lawsuit by telling us that all of the documents we seek are not “FOIA-able”! “…Any records created by or held in the custody of the Enterprises … Read entire article »

Alarming Homelessness Under Obama
Remember the lady who was going to be so thankful to Obama, because she wasn’t going to have to ever worry about paying her mortgage? Maybe in a backwards way, she was right. I mean if they foreclose on your house, there is no mortgage anymore to pay for and there is ALARMING homelessness under Obama…. On Yahoo News: Suburban homeless: Rising tide of women, families. Homelessness in rural and suburban America is straining shelters this winter as the economy founders and joblessness hovers near double digits — a “perfect storm of foreclosures, unemployment and a shortage of affordable housing,” in one official’s eyes.”We are seeing many families that never before sought government help,” said Greg Blass, commissioner of Social Services in Suffolk County on eastern Long Island. “We see a spiral in food stamps, … Read entire article »

Biden Credits Obama with Iraq War Success
We all know that Joe Biden can say the most interesting of things. But recently on the Larry King Show he truly surprised me. “I am very optimistic about — about Iraq. I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer. You’re going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a … Read entire article »

Obama Flip Flops on Big Bonuses
Obama shows again his doublemindedness. Remember when big bonuses were a bad thing? In March 2009, President Obama called the AIG bonuses an “outrage.” Flashback: Obama Says Bonuses Are Violation Of “Our Fundamental Values” NOW: Obama Doesn’t “Begrudge” Millions in Bonuses for ‘Savvy’ Bankers Of course not! Not when the bankers are his “friends” and big campaign contributors. President Barack Obama said he doesn’t “begrudge” the $17 million bonus awarded to JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon or the $9 million issued to Goldman Sachs Group Inc. CEO Lloyd Blankfein, noting that some athletes take home more pay. The president, speaking in an interview, said in response to a question that while $17 million is “an extraordinary amount of money” for Main Street, “there are some baseball players who are making more than … Read entire article »

Obama Underwrites Offshore Drilling
Wall Street Journal is reporting that Obama underwrites offshore drilling, and while you might not be hearing this story in the mainstream media, even WSJ is trying to look positive on this story. Digging deeper, as Glenn Beck did, here is what you find out: “Today, even though President Obama is against off shore drilling for our country, he signed an executive order to loan 2 Billion of our taxpayers dollars to a Brazilian Oil … Read entire article »

State of The Union
Last night’s speech… the words disconnect and delusional came to mind at the time. Today, even ABC felt that Obama didn’t get his facts straight. (Does he ever?) Point number one. “Foreign companies to spend without limit in our elections.” The president has assailed the Supreme Court’s decision on campaign financing, and tonight said, “The Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign companies — to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, and worse, by foreign entities.” According to Atlas Shrugs: This from the first president in history to flout election campaign laws and receive millions from foreign countries (including Gaza), blockbusting stories that broke at Atlas all during the campaign. Obama’s Big Chill

Norwegians Not at Peace with Obama
Norwegians are upset at Obama. From the Guardian: Barack Obama’s trip to Oslo to pick up his Nobel peace award is in danger of being overshadowed by a row over the cancellation of a series of events normally attended by the prizewinner. Norwegians are incensed over what they view as his shabby response to the prize by cutting short his visit. The White House has cancelled many of the events peace prize laureates traditionally submit to, including a dinner with the Norwegian Nobel committee, a press conference, a television interview, appearances at a children’s event promoting peace and a music concert, as well as a visit to an exhibition in his honour at the Nobel peace centre. He has also turned down a lunch invitation from the King of Norway. It should also be interesting to … Read entire article »

Obama Rewards Big Donors
According to Politico of the nearly 80 ambassadorship nominations or confirmations since Obama’s Inauguration, 56 percent were given to political appointees and 44 percent have gone to career diplomats, according to records kept by the American Foreign Service Association. Beatrice Wilkinson Welters was nominated to serve as ambassador to the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. She and her husband generated between $200,000 and $500,000 in donations to Obama’s presidential campaign and an additional $100,000 for his Inauguration, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. The Welters can be counted among the nearly two dozen Obama bundlers — fundraisers who together organized and solicited more than $10 million in donations during the 2008 campaign — who now are being dispatched to some of the world’s greatest cities. What Are They Hiding?
Remember durning Obama’s campaign the word “transparency” was said, and often, to the cheers of many people. I am not surprised that nine months into the presidency, we are looking for this transparency, in particular with the new legislation that no one even reads, they just vote on it. On Yahoo News: The push for transparency has become a running side debate in Congress, with lawmakers — often minority Republicans, but some Democrats too — pressing leaders to post measures online for 72 hours before a vote. “I don’t think the American people can be left in the dark,” House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said this week. It might sound like a no-brainer. President Barack Obama has made transparency a watchword of his administration, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pledged upon taking office to … Read entire article »

It’s All About Me
Is our president a narcissist? A news article is suggesting that he is, or perhaps Obama is just saying it himself. In just 41 speeches so far this year, not including this week’s big speech at the United Nations, Obama has talked about himself nearly 1,200 times – 1,198 to be exact. (That breaks down to 1,121 “I”s and just 77 “me”s.) And that just includes 34 weekly addresses and his seven major speeches. Count the hundreds of other public speeches and he’d be off the charts. You Lie?
In his speech to Congress, President Obama cited an Illinois man who lost his insurance during chemotherapy for his failure to report gallstones that he didn’t even know about. Obama said that the man died as a result of this cancellation of his insurance. Whether Obama told a lie, or got the story wrong innocently, either way, it doesn’t look good, does it? Either he can’t tell the truth or he can’t get the story straight. From the Wall Street Journal President Barack Obama, seeking to make a case for health-insurance regulation, told a poignant story to a joint session of Congress last week. An Illinois man getting chemotherapy was dropped from his insurance plan when his insurer discovered an unreported gallstone the patient hadn’t known about. “They delayed his treatment, and he died … Read entire article »

Fact Check
Obama practically scowled at what he said were myths regarding his health care plan during his speech recently. However, the Associated Press decided to match what he said with the FACTS. Now I know some people don’t like to know those pesky facts and truths, but here it goes anyway: OBAMA: “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period.” THE FACTS: Though there’s no final plan yet, the White House and congressional Democrats already have shown they’re ready to skirt the no-new-deficits pledge. House Democrats offered a bill that the Congressional Budget Office said would add $220 billion to the deficit over 10 years. But Democrats and Obama administration officials claimed the bill actually was deficit-neutral. They said they simply didn’t have … Read entire article »

Republicans DO Have a Plan
Did you know that Republicans have 30+ bills for Health Care reform that have had no acknowledgment from the Obama Administration? When Rep. Joe Wilson shouted out “You lie!” during Obama’s recent address to Congress, no doubt it’s from the frustration of having ideas ignored while Obama stood there, in front of God, the American people and congress and said, “”My door is always open.” From the Washington Examiner: “We knew the president would at some point say something like, ‘and the other side has no ideas,’ ” Price says. So Price and his Republican colleagues brought with them copies of the more than 30 health care reform bills they have proposed in the House this year. Obama didn’t directly accuse Republicans of not having a plan. But he did say he would … Read entire article »

Obama Health Care: Device That is Implantable
First to say, that I found this story on a site that openly supports Obama 100%. The person does however admit that there is something in the Health Care bill that alarmed him and would surely find disapproval among most Americans. Don’t Speak
So now, Obama wants to decide who talks. Oh, the arrogance. Not only does he lie about who created the problem, he wants to shut up any opposing views to his. According to Kathryn Jean Lopez of the National Review (no relation): Yesterday, at a rally for R. Creigh Deeds in Virginia, President Obama said: “I don’t want the folks who created the mess do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.” For Barack Obama, democracy appears to be a distraction. He really does seem to view himself as a Caesar. Shortly after taking office, Obama held a meeting with governors. At the time, one person in the room relayed … Read entire article »

Politically Correct
These entities that have plagued our nation for so long now, these people who are SO politically correct FORGET, that they too have to BE politically correct. In just another example of how they like to make the rules but not PLAY by the rules is a page out of the Democrats Health Reform bill. The proposed health-insurance bill from the House of Representatives refers to mentally disabled people as “retarded” — a term advocates, relatives and physicians find outdated and offensive. The bill refers to: “A hospital or a nursing facility or intermediate-care facility for the mentally retarded . . .” The first thing that sprang to my mind after reading this was Obama on a late night talk show comparing his bowling skills to the “Special Olympics.” Which also angered a few groups. The Race Card
I just felt the need to say it. A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION DOESN’T MAKE A PERSON A RACIST! I would agree with Alan Keyes, (I used to listen to his radio show in Baltimore) a black man, and as far as I know, more black than Obama. In fact, I have voted for Alan Keyes in a primary election. I don’t agree with Obama’s policies, practically none of them. This doesn’t make me a racist. Now, these days, … Read entire article »

Sinful and Tyrannical
“To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical. ” Thomas Jefferson Some people quote the above this way: “To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” Misquote or not, to me, they say the same thing. Having said all that, now we have the Obama administration wishing to add unlimited access to abortion-on-demand to his Health Bill. This would dismiss the fact that in some states it is not legal and worst of all, make people who believe that abortion is MURDER, to pay through their taxes, for something they are against, it goes against all they whole dear. Obama Rebuked
Not seen on the mainstream nightly news. If Bush has been rebuked by such an overwhelming vote against him, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE LEAD STORY… Obama made a deliberate decision to ignore constraints in legislation he is signing. The House overwhelmingly REBUKED Obama by a vote of 429 – 2. At issue is an amendment added to the $106 Billion Supplemental War-Funding legislation signed by Obama last month. During the signing, Obama stated he would not follow the amendment’s constraints with respect to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Obama stated the conditions “interfered” with his powers as President. I rarely agree with Barney Frank, but his rebuke verbally went this way: “We do this not just on behalf of this institution, but ON BEHALF OF THIS DEMOCRACY. … Read entire article »

Largest Tax Increase in American History Under the Guise of Climate Change
The so called reason for this large tax increase? In all it sounds good, limit pollution and usher in an era of cleaner energy. Critics of the legislation have said it will cost too much to our already weak economy, so they wanted safeguards in place. Even as Democrats have promised that this cap-and-trade legislation won’t pinch wallets, behind the scenes they’ve acknowledged the energy price tsunami that is coming. During the brief few days in which the bill was debated in the House Energy Committee, Republicans offered three amendments: one to suspend the program if gas hit $5 a gallon; one to suspend the program if electricity prices rose 10% over 2009; and one to suspend the program if unemployment rates hit 15%. Democrats defeated all of them. So how much … Read entire article »
