Castle Rock Beach

For our first outing in Australia’s great Southwest, we decided on Castle Rock Beach. I had seen it in some of John’s photos, and wanted to see it for myself.

As soon as we arrived, we could see it’s natural beauty.

The Rock seemed so far away. I wanted to see it closer. There was a trail to get there, but Laura started off going the rocky way.

At first, the walk (climb) didn’t seem so hard…

The beach was smooth to start

Then, it began to be a challenge, for me at least.

There were a few times I fell between the crevices, and most of the time I had to lean on John for support or for help up.

So much climbing and Castle Rock so far away!

Finally we were there, it was so grand. It had flowers growing in it, and what looked to be a cave.
