Enric’s 30th (Part two)

It was sort of a different birthday, but like the rest in many ways.
Mom was sick, so that was different.
He wanted lamb instead of Canelons, so that was different.
The cooking of lamb ended up smoking the house out in the broiler and had to be finished upstairs in that oven. So the haze in the house was definitely different.
The rest of the craziness was about the Lopez same. Even so, a 30th with the family is a sweet occasion.

For the second part of Enric’s birthday, we had to wait til the next day, a Sunday, but it was his actual birthday. What a nice way to spend it, relaxing with the Ravens on the TV and playing with the children.

Ravens on the TV.

This is what my sons look like during a bad call.

The children are oblivious, having fun with Miquel’s phone.

Silas watches as Daddy gets the first piece.

Rubí and Miquel like it too, as they high five to the cake.

Opening presents, Enric looks a little dismayed at the Victoria’s Secret Box I put his gift inside. Once he opened it, he saw my reasoning. I had to make the shape different as I got him the same thing I got Miquel, a keypad for his Playstation 3.

Enric is very impressed with the Lego Star Wars Video game from Miranda or maybe it was Need for Speed from Jenny and Miquel.

Laura gave Enric two books by one of his favorite authors, Ted Decker, which Miquel was quick to call it a “Double Decker.” Laughter of course after that one.

Laura gets the prize for most creative this year. Months ago, Enric wanted the cheese bought for her in t he fridge and finding it yelled, “Jackpot!” To which Laura insisted from the Living Room, knowing what he found, that it was hers. So, for an added surprise her funny faced card said JACKPOT inside, which left Enric a little mystified.

All became clear when he opened the cheese. Enric appreciated it!

Soon enough, it was hit the couch again to play the new video games, this time with Miranda.

I just had to tease Enric when judging by the presents, his 30th birthday didn’t look that much different than his 13th. Love you honey, happy birthday!
