Lake Joondalup

Lake Joondalup is a medium sized freshwater lake in Perth, Western Australia.

It is in the Perth northern suburbs of Joondalup, Wanneroo, and Edgewater. It is a nature reserve and part of the Yellagonga Regional Park.

It has a lot of wildlife including turtles, ducks and many other birds. Most of the banks are either swampland or reeds.

Do bring insect repellent.

The day we decided to go to Lake Joondalup, was also the day Gospel Baptist was having its church picnic. Here is the Pastor, Larry Nelson and his wife Dawn.

We met a sweet Kookaburra and he kept us busy for awhile.

Not an unusual sight to see, smoke, possibly a bush fire or a burn.
