Lake Ninan

Leaving Rica Erickson Reserve and headed east along the Wheatbelt we came across this likely little known place called Lake Ninan. Lake Ninan is situated just 10 kms west  of a little place called Wongan Hills, in the wheatbelt of Western Australia. Stepping into this salt lake area, we felt like we had left Australia and stepped through a portal to another planet, it was so different than the landscape we had been driving along…

The lake had some pink coloring.

Trees were dead because of the salt.

There were signs of life…
I’ve never seen growth like which happens here in Western Australia no matter what the conditions.
