Own Backyard

Sometimes to experience the wonders of life and nature, one doesn’t have to go further than ones own backyard. Today was such a day.

Starting with the hummingbird getting nectar deep in a flower…

or finding a mystery bug outside the house…(we think it’s a kind of Katydid nymph).

Our yard used to see a lot of toads, so it was nice to see one again.

Silas thought so too.

We finished our backyard “safari” with a snail.
