River Sunset and Moonrise

Often when John and I go looking for a sunset, we go to the ocean. This day we went to the river. But first we had to cross over a funny looking bridge.

The winds around and around to get over the road to the river.

As the sun made its way down, we saw black swans, the emblem of Western Australia, on the river.

There was a funny moment when a pelican had finally had enough of this magpie.

With the city of Perth behind it, an osprey comes down…

…to get a fish.

The jetty started to turn golden.

Pelicans were perching on the lamp posts.

I had to get a closer look. I was quite taken with this one.

Did it just decide to stand up and pose???

As well began to call it a night birds started flying around.

Obviously this sculpture was put here for a reason, might as well get it in a sunset.

And it’s done.

As we head back across the bridge, the sun just set, we remember the night’s supermoon. The man who gives me sunsets, also gives me the moon.
