Scones with Silas and Rubi

My grandchildren are very special to me, living with them, they sometimes feel like my own. I guess that is how mom felt about Enric as we lived with her when he was little for awhile. Perhaps I am very special to them too, as they wanted to give Nana a Christmas present. Miranda tells the story HERE.

Knowing how much I love birds, they decided on this lovely cardinal tree ornament. I put it right in the front, and that will be its place from now on. What a treasure, a present from them!

Now on about the scones…

Ever since Silas saw the scones with strawberry jam and cream I made for Pop Pop in pictures, he has wanted to try that. So this morning, I whipped up a batch of scones for Pop Pop and of course we wanted to share with them.

Silas immediately liked them.

Rubí was a bit more cautious.

Silas devoured his and I think easily could have had another one.

Rubí was more dainty with hers, but so cute to see the cream on her lip.

So now the grand children have been introduced to scones with Strawberry Jam and Cream.
