Veles e Vents Una Vegada Mes

Veles e Vents in English means, Candles and Winds.

What do you do when you enjoy an event but your photos didn’t quite turn out quite like you want them to, AND you learn your friends are going the next night? Of course, you go AGAIN!

So the production of Veles e Vents I explained in my last post HERE, and apparently my research helped tell a few nice people around me what the show was going to be about, and Pauline even printed the poem from the blog and the translation to bring with her this evening.

For this second time, I will let John’s camera tell the story of the night.

John had his fish eye lens on and managed to get all of us while he took a photo of Perth.

So here we are the Olsen family, James, Rodney and Pauline and I, with Pauline's parents to the left.

So who needs the special effects of the show when you can turn on your camera, forget that it is still shooting the photo and you can turn it on its side and put your wife's image in the sky?

A kiss for a sailor about to have an adventure.

One of the parts of the show I missed last night.

John captured this one that I also missed last night.

This night we sat closer to the stage than last night and one thing we weren't expecting was heavy SMOKE. People had to leave and take their children to a safer area.

No idea what this creature represents, but we can assume it was one adventure for the sailor.

Part of the show shined a huge spot light with some Star Wars like face on an apartment building. John thought the people that lived there might not like that too much.

The evening's finale, a thrill to the end!

Lovely photos Barbara and John! Everything about the night was lovely – excluding the smoke of course!
I did think afterwards that we should’ve taken a group shot. Obviously I didn’t realise that John was taking some sneaky pics or I wouldn’t have pulled such faces!
James really appreciated John’s kind loan of his tripod. It’s good to see that John still managed some great shots without it.

    Pauline.
John was using his fish eye lens and in trying to get the city, he got all of us too!

I actually cropped it to look like a shot of all of us when I discovered he got us.

The fish eye lens he chose, because it really is a steady lens even without a tripod.
I would love to she James’ photos!
