A dog crashed our party

When spring starts, the calendar reveals the bulk of of our whole family’s birthdays - April, May, and June. June holds quite a few of them, so yesterday we had a combination 3 birthdays and we even threw in an early Father’s Day for my sister’s husband, George. The cookout/party was looking to be a very nice event.

Stacey is starting to bring ‘extras’ to our family get togethers, she volunteers to take care of children in foster care, and so we had a few people there we weren’t expecting.

However, without a doubt the biggest surprise was a dog on our back deck who decided to make himself very much at home.
Laura pets the dog out on the deck.

When we went inside, the dog perched itself on our picnic table and looked so lonely.

Then she came to the patio door looking inside

Sam consoles the dog through the door.

Found flyers have been made up, and Laura, Miquel and Shelby took the dog for a walk around the neighborhood. So far, no one has claimed her.

The photo of her on the picnic table is super sweet! I bet she showed up as one of your guests for some sweet cake. 🙂

Oh my… I think I smell a replacement for that recently deceased Collie. (I could be wrong)

She’s beautiful. I’m always amazed that people don’t have a collar or tag on their dog these days.
