Drama to the Magical Backyard

Recently I blogged on my magical backyard and posted photos of its treasures low to the ground.

I was amiss in showing one of the treasures, high in the sky. A special tree. One that always conjured up stories between my friend Lisa and I. It’s built kind of odd for a tree. It starts with one trunk, then mid way up (which is already high) it starts to split. After this rounded split, it twists back to looking like one trunk again. Lisa and I always thought it looked like a marvelous place to climb, look out, make a treehouse for. It had to be a magical tree…

Last night a fierce storm blew through. (Have I mentioned Maryland weather?) Lightning hit our special tree. 🙁

Lisa got hit twice, not only the tree, another fell on her car hood.

*Sigh*

Are you gonna break out the chainsaw and gather some firewood for winter?

I often look in on your Blog barb and always enjoy it.I feel as though I know you and
some of our UE members quite well now. You may remember I had my house up for sale,
well its is now sold and we have bought a bungalow (single storey to you) :-)Its in a
small village near the river which has been the subject of some of my pictures. I will
do a small feature on the village and its history on my web site at a later date.
