Freo
Fremantle is a port city in Western Australia, located 19 kilometers (12 mi) southwest of Perth, the state capital, at the mouth of the Swan River on Australia’s western coast. It was the first settlement of the Swan River colonists in 1828. It was declared a city in 1929 and has a population of approximately 38,000.
The city is named after Captain Charles Fremantle, the English naval officer who had pronounced possession of Western Australia and who established a camp at the site. The city contains well-preserved 19th-century buildings and other heritage features.
Fremantle is often referred to as “Freo”
We arrived at lunchtime, so we looked for a place to eat. We settled on The Mussel Bar. I was wishing Miquel and Enric was with us.

First, Laura and I learned that entrees in Australia means appetizer. So, we ordered appetizers for lunch.
CREAMY GARLIC PRAWNS
We had the MUSSEL BAR CREAMY GARLIC PRAWNS with Saffron Rice, Baby Cress Salad.
My review: Prawns were good, but the rice was dry and they are pushing it calling it ‘saffron.’
The bread and olive oil was excellent I thought
