Heart in 3D

John got himself a small 3D printer.

When he first mentioned getting one, it was hard to grasp the concept of a printer being able to print 3 dimensional objects. The more I read up on this, it seemed a wave of the future and a marvel for the medical community…and of course, it just seems plain FUN.

This week, in the spirit of Valentines Day, John printed me a little heart box.

Complete with raised hearts and a perfectly fitting lid.

I added the flowers from his garden for effect. :)

The design of the raised hearts printed very well!

A great fit for the lid. I can't wait to see what other things he will do!

I am so proud of John how he has learned this whole new area of printing so fast and how excited he is to learn more.
