Mailboxes and Squirrels

So as long as I can remember, a favorite thing to do with a new friend was to take a walk to the beach.

Yesterday, after a day of shopping at Arundel Mills Mall (which Alejandra LOVED by the way), we decided we hadn’t done enough walking and took the long way to Chelsea Beach.

Alex was very interested in the mailboxes we saw. This one had a mailbox created to match the house.

This house perhaps was in a patriotic mood ready for the 4th of July.

Alejandra liked seeing all the squirrels along the way.

We had a dog follow us at one point, till he finally stopped at a house. It was so cute, Alex took its picture.  Later someone in a car stopped to ask us if we had seen a dog, and Alex showed him the photo, which he replied, “Yes that’s my dog.” We were able to tell him where we last saw the dog, we hope that was helpful.

After wandering all around, we finally got to the "beach" which isn't really a beach anymore, but a place to park your boat. 🙂

The sun was slowly setting on us.

Alex tries to get a panorama with her phone/ camera. She remarked that the movies doesn't really capture the States. I am glad she can see beyond Hollywood's version of the U.S.
