Mothers Day

I missed my own mom and my children on this day, but it was sweet to spend it with John. I got told Happy Mother’s Day very early in the morning by the man I love and I sunk into his arms all smiles.

The plan was to go to Dad and Iris’s early, but unknown to me was the other plan to go to the Cemetery where John’s mother is laid to rest.

Immediately I became aware that the cemetery was different to ours. Plaques are on paths where then flowers are laid.

Graham adds flowers where Alan had been earlier.

Real flowers are discouraged I learned, the kangaroos come and eat them. But not everyone complies.

John, Dad, and Graham. Dad looks beat up because he had surgery to his forehead a few days before this photo.

A look around the Memorial Park.

Iris, the matriarch of the Dolphin clan and as the apron says, a good cook. 🙂
She feeds us all well, including John.
