Picnic for Silas and Rubi

While Enric and Miranda were busy working on the steps (sanding and staining them), Laura and I took Silas and Rubi to Kinder Park for a walk, fun, and a picnic.

Rubi climbs the fence and watches the birds. So like her Nana. 🙂

She really did enjoy pointing out all the birds.

At Kinder, we went to the farm area where we got to see sheep, piglets, and goats.

Petting the goat through the fence.

Silas finds a place to climb and jump off of.

Rubi looked adorable in a patch of clover.

Then we headed off the main path where Silas found a rock to climb.

A great section for tree climbing.

The bamboo forest 🙂

Rubi is tired and so was I, so then it was Laura’s turn to give her a piggyback ride. She won her over when she galloped.

My two happy girls.

Rubi got her strength back for playing on the playround. She is such a daredevil, she will climb anything.Â

I thought this would be a challenge for her, but she handled it with finesse.

It was finally time to eat. Silas was confused about sitting on the ground to eat lunch. He was expecting to eat in the car. We taught them, no, picnics are done on a blanket on the ground. Rubi quickly took off her shoes, sat right down, and began eating away.

Silas finally warmed up to the idea of a picnic on the ground.

A blue snowball helped 🙂

“I like picnics,” Rubi sweetly said as she ate her vanilla ice cream snowball.
