Most who visit my blog know that my external hard drive, where I store all my music, failed.
I have not been able to get together the money needed to look into a data recovery specialist, although, a few of them quoted me fair prices, well below the 1,000 - 2,000 dollar standard, it was still steep for me in light of my limited income.
I have that on the back burner for now, perhaps I will still be able to do that in the future.
What was so hard for me to live without was my music collection. So I have dedicated some time to getting it back, and I am happy to report that I have most of my music back, with a few things still missing. While I was at it, I added even more songs to the collection, ripping some of my mom and dad’s CDs as well as my own.

I really can’t say I am a country music listener, but growing up, our house was often filled with the sounds of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton, just to name a few.
So, I am a little bit country thanks to my dad. I can remember him taping songs on his reel-to-reel, then to cassette, playing 8 tracks, records, and finally on a CD player.

I suppose 1972 was the year I started listening to the radio in earnest, finding songs I liked, and taping them with my very own Panasonic Tape Recorder to listen to songs over and over again! Not sure my parents were very happy about that, but I got a lot of enjoyment from the tape recorder. My dad used to let me use his reel-to-reel as well.

American Idol did Queen songs tonight, and I’ve been anxious all week to see how that would go on tonight’s show.
There were some pleasant surprises, like Kelly singing Bohemian Rhapsody! There wasn’t one that was a surprise however, I KNEW Katherine HAD to sing one of my favorites, "Who Wants to Live Forever". She did, and she nailed it. I wanted Chris to sing "Princes of the Universe" from Highlander, but he went with "Innuendo." As much as I would like to see Chris go all the way, I think he should have taken my advice, "Innuendo" just didn’t cut it.

Ok. I admit it. I’m addicted.
I now look forward to each and every Tuesday night when the finalists of each week will compete once again. I get cozy with my children and we try to guess who will do well, who will be eliminated, and groan each week when they keep ones we don’t like.

I never get tired of adding to my MP3 collection, and on this occasion, I had some help from my son.
As you can see I have been looking up some Cliff Richard music, but I have been looking for something that I don’t think can be found in the U.S.
Years ago, I attended my church to see a movie called HIS LAND, with lovely music sung by Cliff Richard, in particular, He’s Everything to Me. If anyone knows where to find this CD in the U.S., let me know!
