Here There and Everywhere

Here, making each day of the year
Changing my life with a wave of her hand
Nobody can deny that there’s something there
~ The Beatles

My husband is learning that as a general rule, women are nesters, and I am no exception. I guess with a wave of my hand, I am making some changes, some are practical…

…like the whimsical dolphins now at the bottom of the tub. Unfortunately I slipped and fell last week, and Georgie donated them! Up until now, John didn’t need them. He married an accident prone lady, what can I say?

When John is here to turn the oven on for me *sigh*, he can now find baked goods waiting for him on top of the microwave, like this Mud Caramel Cake, that we decided to add some vanilla frosting in the middle.

Evidence I have been here, I find my hair (that John grabbed out of the brush in the vacuum) hanging from a tree. He’s giving the birds something to use for nests, and apparently they have at some level of work to get it.

A shelf now filled with items from our engagement and wedding. (We drank from those coke bottles as we decided on the ring to buy).

Looking forward to continuing to make this house a loving and cozy home for us both.

Is that your cake topper? Will the fondant just last forever?

I think it might last forever. Dust it, and it’s all good. 🙂
