Last Night in Perth

Last night in Perth

It’s weird…you know the end of something great is coming, but you want to hold on, just for one more second…just so it can hurt a little more.

After a day waking up early taking fog photos, then shopping at the mall, going to Hillary’s, we met Jamie, Kaymer, and Jeff to be together one more time.

John took us all out to eat at The Jetty’s for a smorgasbord dinner. Seafood, desserts, everything was so good. It was fun to see our children together, having a good time, and treating each other like extended family.

We had a silly evening at the restaurant.

Later we went back to John’s house to finish packing and we were still silly, looking up words in the dictionary, and listening to Axis of Awesome on You Tube.

But, finally it was time to go to the airport and say good-byes.

To be honest, I came to Australia just happy to see John again, I left, in love with the country, it’s peoples, and everything Australia had to offer. A big part of my heart remains. For John and I, it was a sad goodbye, with hopes to see each other again soon.
