Miranda

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

~Proverbs chapters 3 & 31

Miranda: (from Latin) extraordinary, to be admired.

Enric at piano composing On New Years Eve on Christmas break, into the late night, and the Christmas lights aglow, my son Enric sat at the piano, asked me if I wanted to hear the song he was composing for his Bride to be, Miranda. “Of course,” I said, as I sat down on the cozy lounge chair next to the piano. I picked up my camera as I often do, snapping at his concentration, listening to the wonderful melody he played with all the love in his heart. He finished playing and I was near breathless.

“What did you think?”

“Oh Enric! It’s lovely…I think she should walk down the aisle with your song.”

I didn’t know that he took that suggestion seriously, as without having to even ask, I figured what would be playing on their wedding day would be Canon in D, one of Enric’s favorites.

Miranda did indeed, walk down the aisle to Enric’s composition. “Miranda”. Canon in D was also played, but his precious bride before declaring her love and endless devotion before God and the people in the church, played tribute to Enric by walking down the aisle to his composition.

Now I’d like to play tribute to one of the most remarkable women I have ever
met. – Enric’s Miranda.

With Enric’s permission, I have published this video on You Tube, with his composition playing in the background.

::smirk:: Well- NOW I wish I had been at the wedding instead of cramming for finals! He’s a talented fellow to be sure – and while I am certain this goes without saying, you should be very proud of him! Those two are lucky kids, and I pray for their happiness often.
