Our Independence Day

We had a very sweet July 4th. The weather was sunny and great, the pool water was not too cold, and my sister and her husband came (fixed the bathroom fixtures, which was very nice!) and we had a cook out; all the usual, grilled barbecue chicken, hamburgers, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, and yummy chocolate chip cookie bars for dessert.

Then we decided to go to watch the fireworks with Shelby and Lisa. It was a beautiful and perfect night, a nice breeze as we made our way on top of the bridge, which was to be our lookout point, on top of the Severn River by Annapolis.

Our backdrop for the evening was the Naval Academy in Annapolis and the dome of the state house.

The sun went down slowly, and the boats moved on to the best ‘seat in the house’ for the fireworks show.

The fireworks were wonderful, and we were glad to go, and I was very excited to try my camera on fireworks for the first time.

Was a wonderful time with family and friends.
